If you need a tasty appetizer during the holiday season,
this is a good one! You can make it ahead of time, too.
Pecan Studded Cheese Ball
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 t salt
pinch each of onion powder,
garlic powder and paprika
20 oz can of sweetened pineapple tidbits, drained very well.
1 c chopped pecans
Mix everything except the pecans on low in your electric mixer.
Form into a ball, roll in the pecans and wrap in plastic wrap.
Chill. Bring to room temperature 30 minutes before serving.

I hope you like it....glad the timing worked out!
DeleteMy little one will be back to school, so I will have to start the day at 5.30 which makes it impossible to go to sleep at midnight for me. But I always look forward your post when having my morning coffee even though so early ... :-)
ReplyDeleteOops and I cannot do a proper 'reply' obviously ... lol ... does having a very exhausting meeting with burocratic people counts as an excuse?
DeleteYes, I understand that....you can't go to bed too late if you get up really early!
DeleteSweet dreams!
Hi Betsy - that looks delicious ... what are the crackers? They look like the sort I like to have around .. ours seem to be thicker here ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThe brand is 34 Degrees and they are called Savory Crisps. These are thin for sure!

DeleteOften I find cheese balls a little too cloying even though I love cheese. But I bet the pineapple is a perfect addition. Those crackers look very tasty, too.
