Oh my goodness, that looks SO good. And I see your Cornish hen(s) made it out of the sink! It is too cute. I just came back from a wonderful pizza dinner. It was my first time eating out in two months and it was with a friend I have not seen in ages. Lovely time. Enjoy your leftovers... If there are any. :-)
Hi Betsy - I'd have happily eaten half of that ... it looks delicious and then you've got dessert coming up! In some ways left-overs are the best ... the stuffing looks delicious ... and I love roast chicken ... while the veggie in the sauce - all very good fare! Happy Friday - recovery day .. cheers Hilary
Looks so good! Out Cornish hens were a hit. I baked them in the oven for a little while and Cliff finished them up on the charcoal grill. I, also, made home-made rolls for the first time. Fail! They were dense. I followed the directions...I think they left the part out about how to make them fluffy. Lol! I need to read up on bread making. Happy Black Friday! I'm staying home!!
It was almost warm enough here to grill out! haha....Glad yours were yummy. We've already decided they will be the new tradition! I have a couple wonderful roll recipes....I'll share with you before Christmas!
Staying home on Friday...best decision ever! I've done a ton of online shopping today, though!
Lets see now. Starting at the top and going round clockwise. First mashed potato made with cream and a slight hint of garlic.. Next, various veg cooked in a Béchamel sauce (God only knows what's in there!). Then some sage and onion stuffing. Next cranberry sauce, then the Pièce de Résistance, a slightly burnt but well done seagull, and last but not least a Walmart Special Bread Roll.
Everything on the plate speaks Thanksgiving meal except for the mini turkey (cornish hen). Looks delicious. I would have forced it all down and regretted it later.
Yes, I see your point...but my new recipes were a hit and have been requested as the new traditions! At least the weren't too far out of the realm of thanksgiving fare...lol...
It looks amazing. I could have. lol
ReplyDeleteand now today, the best part...eating without all the cooking!
