It looks amazing. I could have. lol
and now today, the best part...eating without all the cooking!
It's beautiful!What a cute little hen.:0)
They were very cute all lined up in the roasting pan. haha.
Looks scrumptious, we've all over-indulged it seems :)~Jo
Yes, it seems to be appropriate for the holiday...lol....
Oh my goodness, that looks SO good. And I see your Cornish hen(s) made it out of the sink! It is too cute. I just came back from a wonderful pizza dinner. It was my first time eating out in two months and it was with a friend I have not seen in ages. Lovely time. Enjoy your leftovers... If there are any. :-)
I saw your note on facebook....sounds like a wonderful time eating and visiting....very fun!
What a beautiful plate!!!!Enjoy
Isn't that pretty? Had to take a picture, of course!
It looks really yummy! Have a wonderful 'nothing-to-do' day :-) and maybe the boys will change their mind and throw themselves at such a feast!
Today is my nothing to do day! And I've been very successful at it, too! haha.
How were the Cornish hens?
They were good! Just like tender and juicy chicken....and so much easier than the big turkey...loved it!
Hi Betsy - I'd have happily eaten half of that ... it looks delicious and then you've got dessert coming up! In some ways left-overs are the best ... the stuffing looks delicious ... and I love roast chicken ... while the veggie in the sauce - all very good fare! Happy Friday - recovery day .. cheers Hilary
I ate about half! ...yes, then dessert..yum. haha...
Oh my! Yummy!
It certainly was!
Looks so good! Out Cornish hens were a hit. I baked them in the oven for a little while and Cliff finished them up on the charcoal grill. I, also, made home-made rolls for the first time. Fail! They were dense. I followed the directions...I think they left the part out about how to make them fluffy. Lol! I need to read up on bread making. Happy Black Friday! I'm staying home!!
It was almost warm enough here to grill out! haha....Glad yours were yummy. We've already decided they will be the new tradition!I have a couple wonderful roll recipes....I'll share with you before Christmas!Staying home on Friday...best decision ever! I've done a ton of online shopping today, though!
Wow, that is rather full indeedSure won't go hungry at your feed haha
Could only eat about halfsince I'm not the size of a calf.had to save room for dessertand coffee to stay alert! lol....
Hope you had a great day!
...and I did!
Lets see now. Starting at the top and going round clockwise. First mashed potato made with cream and a slight hint of garlic.. Next, various veg cooked in a Béchamel sauce (God only knows what's in there!). Then some sage and onion stuffing. Next cranberry sauce, then the Pièce de Résistance, a slightly burnt but well done seagull, and last but not least a Walmart Special Bread Roll.Am I not right? As always?
I hope you enjoyed it.. . . . . .;--)
Walmart roll???? Bite your tongue! haha.....no pie for you!
Everything on the plate speaks Thanksgiving meal except for the mini turkey (cornish hen). Looks delicious. I would have forced it all down and regretted it later.
Yeah, I'm glad I stopped when I did...I hate that overstuffed feeling!
Looks very yummy and very generous . . . . I can see it was a large helping . . . lol
Yes...a little too generous! My eyes were bigger than my stomach!
I could have devoured it! Looks so good!
It sure was tasty.....even as leftovers!
I love a Thanksgiving with only traditional foods.Serve all those new recipes another day.
Yes, I see your point...but my new recipes were a hit and have been requested as the new traditions! At least the weren't too far out of the realm of thanksgiving fare...lol...
I've been waiting all weekend to comment on that little Cornish hen body, but now that I see it, it looks delicious! Way or go!
I thought you said you would take a pass on the hen!
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
