Just joined Facebook . . . lol Not sure yet what instagram is but gather it suits you for publication of your photos.
Love the photo Betsy and if I have not said it before your header too . . . :) Had a nice day driving the bus and experienced another interesting story involving two passengers ~ I shall post about it soon . . . :)
Leaves are in my backyard today...beautiful! I think you would like Instagram. I'm sure your kids are on it! T&L had to show me how to do everything....thank goodness for adult children when it comes to all these new things! lol...
Eddie - I left Facebook, but I can't close my page, it is impossible. Once you create a page it is there until Judgement Day. I found it to be just too intrusive into my private life. Don't look for it because I never go to it anymore, and anything you post on it will never be seen by me.
There are more dead people on Facebook now than the living! Fact!
This old codger can remember when the Net became available, I think it was about 1993 and we had only dial-up. No broadband then. My ISP was AOL and we were give a free 'Instant Gram' address + a small page to write about ourselves. There were no blogs then, they were only for the Big Boys of Business and scientists to exchange techy stuff. No Facebook, Myspace, Linkedin etc. (Thank God!). All this happened only 22 years ago, about the time your boys were born!
Now look how big the Net is, and what is available. I wonder what it will be like in another 20 years? Instant-Gram was called that because it was like sending a telegram, only much faster! Is the present Instagram the modern version I wonder?
I do remember! Email was an amazing invention then! haha. Instagram is the modern version I guess...it's sending photos instantly and the hashtag (#) phenomenon is from it. You make up a subject tag for your photo...I can see you really getting into it, Keith. Something tells me your hashtags would be hilarious. :)
I have an Instagram account, but I'm finding all of it too time consuming...even Facebook. I love the connectivity, but sometimes it's all too much for me. My kids have left Facebook, but I think they are on Instagram. I'm just not sure how much time I want to spend online. I'll stop by and say hi...I'm not even sure I have a profile picture on there! I'll be the generic profile, I'm sure you'll recognize me! Ha!
The cat already does two blogs, youtube, writes and twitter Any more and he may miss his nap and get bitter lol But have fun As I'm sure pics you have a ton
I'm on Instagram, but don't use it much. Honestly, I really don't know how to get around on it much. But, I'll look for you. I go by lidiaslala. #always ready to learn something new. :)
Hi Betsy ... you're the second blogger this morning who's gone onto Instagram .. Rhonda Alborn ... in New Zealand has just gone on too. Well done .. love those leaves - cheers Hilary
I'm a little surprised and slightly amused at all these comments! It's kind of like Pinterest...you only look when you have time...no pressure...all fun...., right? haha.
Where do you find the time??
ReplyDeleteDoes it take a lot of time? I just started so I don't know yet! haha.
DeleteBut I'm always snapping pics...only about 25% of them make it on my blog!
No! I mean family, auctions, blog, facebook, etsy, cooking, cats, real life.... and not necessarily in that order.
Deletehmm...coffee? lol...

If you join, Old Codger could be your name. haha...then all the intrusive people couldn't find you!
DeleteThey'd never dream that name belonged to you....
Me on Instagram? Never! My sense of humour always get me into trouble; remember Linda? I upset her good and proper when she took a joke seriously.
DeleteYeah, you've stung me a few times, too...lol....but....your hashtags just describe your photo....you can't offend anyone....well, hopefully not.
DeleteI'm not on Instagram but I'm sure your photos will be a hit there. I love this one!
ReplyDeleteIt should be fun! :)
DeleteLove the light, colours and texture in this. Never explored Instagram but maybe one day.
ReplyDeleteIt would be perfect for you...all you need is a cell phone!
