I took that photo through the kitchen window while sitting at my desk. He's crossing the neighbor's yard to get home. He's a sweet kitty... even if he is a great bird hunter. ha.
No, this one has never gone missing..although it is rare to see him alone. He, Jack and Samantha are always together. We call them The Mod Squad. haha...
Maybe the description should have been: "He cuts a lonely figure as he plods wearily home in the fading light of the evening sun after a day of many adventures. . . . . ."
Aww- he's been out visiting the neighbors! I used to have a black cat named Miss Kitty back when we lived in town years and years ago. She was a sweetie.
"A picture is worth a 1000 words" comes to my mind immediately. The lonely cat, with an appropriate title, "coming home." Conjures up lots of emotions for me.....
Aww ... so cute!

Merrily along he goes
Grass between his toes
Hunger always brings them home
Deletewhen they decide to roam!
That and rain, which they don't like
They'd like it to take a hike..
Shadow is such a perfect name. Surprised he didn't have to swim home! Ton of rain here since last night and still coming down strong!
ReplyDeleteIt's an even more perfect name when you know that he follows Jack everywhere! haha...he truly is a shadow....
DeleteHe looks very sweet! I do get a little worried when a black cat crosses my path.... =)
ReplyDeleteOh, that happens around here a dozen times a day. haha.
Delete=) I understand.
