So, I Painted Today

I had so much fun painting over an old canvas
for my laundry room (here) that I thought I would
do it again for the living room.  This canvas came
from the auction trash and it was painted with
hot pink and purple swirls.  I've seen these at the
thrift store, too, so keep your eye out if you're
interesting in this idea.  A ready to paint canvas
stretched over a wood frame is a little pricey
if you get it new from a craft store, and this is
a great, inexpensive solution!

I chose colors to go with the living room redo.
Much better!  Those hot pink swirls just weren't
cutting it! haha.

  12. The new room is looking nice! Love the color scheme...it reminds me of an impending thunderstorm. And why am I not surprised your painting is of a bird's nest? So much talent going on at your house!!

    1. I almost always choose a nest to paint...I guess I'm more confident with that subject. Won't be doing portraits any time soon...or ever. lol.

  13. Hi Betsy - lovely .. just wish I had your talent - sadly painting is not one of them. This looks almost Japanese styled ... maybe it is!

Cheers and love that it fits the sitting room colours so well .. Hilary
