Random Thoughts


  1. The Red Buds have sprouted their seed pods!
  2. After a week or two of cool, beautiful, fall-like weather, we are back to the normal August heat and humidity.  It was nice while it lasted!
  3. No nascar this weekend.  I know, I know...most of you just don't get that feeling of withdrawal like I do.... haha.
  4. There's a full moon tonight!  I'll have to go outside with my camera after dark!
  5. If you're in the market for an antique French Provincial chair, I have one going into the shop soon.  Just need to edit some photos. Lovely needlepoint roses.  Tempted to keep it! 
  6. After the endless rains of spring and early summer, my tomato plant has recovered and it looks like I might actually get a few tomatoes after all.  By a few, I mean less than 5...haha....if this heat stays through September, it would help a lot!

    I enjoyed the cooler temps too....much easier to get things outside done!
    We are in for a hot week....with no rain.....yikes!
    My tomatoes weren't so great thus year, either...
    Tidied up my 2 pots....perhaps they will surprise me!
    I will try and get a shot too!

    It's a little cooler here (80's instead of 90's) but we still have the humidity. It's raining today. We'll have rain all week...all that tropical stuff. I'm not complaining, though. We need it. Can't wait to see your moon. Had to laugh when you said you will probably only get 5 tomatoes. HaHa! Because that's probably all I got. The farmers market is my friend!

      I agree it's hard to complain about the rain....I'll take lush green healthy yards over dry brown and brittle any day!
      Sounds like lots of people had trouble with their tomatoes this year! I ususally have a ton in the freezer by now!

    it's not been a great year for tomatoes here either . .
    It rained here all morning but brightened up later in the afternoon . .

    We must have had the same weather as you. Last night the air conditioner went back on, but I'm hopeful it won't be for long. The really hot weather usually doesn't last past the second week in September.

      yeah, we have to have Indian Summer, right? I knew the heat would return...and we might do the flip flop one more time! It still gets cooler at night, though! Not long now!

    We are having the same weather. It really warmed up today.

    This weather is just something--so uncomfortable. Even when we had the cool temps it was humid and I don't do well with that. I want to kick myself for not dong some weeding before these high temps coming. Early morning maybe? Ha!

    They kind of look like snow peas - cool.
    We had a couple cooler days which I loved but the last few have been yucky with heat and the dreaded humidity.
    Too cloudy for the moon tonight - hope you got some nice shots!

    My tomatoes are doing fine but I only harvested 3 cucumbers off my one plant. I'm blaming the hailstorm..
