- French Chews ~ current favorite candy.
- I love Mondays. I know...I'm the only one! I love sending all the men out the door after the weekend, savoring the quiet, putting the house back in order and laying out my To Do List for the week.
- I had an orthodontist appointment today. I'm on the last leg of my journey to straighten my teeth...again. For those that don't know, I did braces three years ago and had a permanent retainer put in but still managed to ruin my teeth through my stressed induced teeth grinding at night! So, back I went in January and have been undoing the damage ever since. Today I picked up my iFinisher, which is a type of retainer to finish the process. I must say, as big and uncomfortable as it is, I had my doubts when I tried it on....but I quickly discovered that it is impossible to grind your teeth or press your tongue against your teeth with this thing in. It's like having your jaw wired shut! No talking, no sipping coffee. Geesh! It may be impossible to sleep with it in, too...lol....but I think this may do the trick, so I'm hopeful!
- I loved reading on my Black and White post about the colors you would miss most if we went to a black and white world. Seems like the blues and greens won but there was a group that would miss the warmer reds and yellows. Nobody said they would miss brown!
- The florist delivered a beautiful bouquet of flowers to me on Saturday. I was stumped as to who they were from! The Mister was stumped, too, so I knew they weren't from him! They were from his boss and wife to me, expressing condolences on the death of Nugget. Aw. But you know, I'm not surprised! This man is such a wonderful person, sensitive, tenderhearted, and actually puts into action the good intentions most of us have but don't get around to doing. The Mister has never had a boss like this, so it's been such a pleasant surprise the last 3 years. He asks about our boys, even sends T & L Christmas gifts, you name it. He even traveled to Pennsylvania for their wedding 2 years ago. So thankful.
- I've been enjoying a Chickadee couple and their babies in the feeder the last few days. Haven't been able to get a good picture with the glare on the window and the humidity fogging it up, but it's been so fun to see them a chattering and flitting around the seed.
Have you had a good start to your week?
If you don't have an iFinisher in your mouth,
I'd say it is very good indeed! lol....
♥
What a great boss to send condolence flowers for your beloved bunny.
ReplyDeleteMy start to the week was feeling a bit better than yesterday.
Washed my hair for the first time in a week. Hurrah!
Just washing your hair I'm sure made you feel SO much better!
DeleteNow you have to wash the bed sheets to finish the whole thing...lol....
glad you're better!
Clean sheets on Sunday. And lucky thing I have lots of nighties!
DeleteI can see why you like Mondays . . for the reasons you say. I don't mind them myself . . . provided it's fine outside . . and I can get about, of course lately driving the bus.
ReplyDeleteGosh . . that iFinisher sounds restrictive . . . not being able to sip coffee or talk . . . bet that's difficult. Shame you could not have something like hypnotherapy to stop you grinding your teeth . . . :)
Yes that was an interesting exercise on your black and white post . . .
The Mister's boss certainly seems a very kind man . .
I love those Chickadee birds ~ wish we had them over here . . . :)
Very restrictive.....crazy! Can't even eat those yummy French Chews! lol....
DeleteHypnotherapy...what a great idea. Do you know how to do it? "Betsy, you're
getting very very sleepy...." lol....
No . . . just "Betsy . . . you will never want to or ever again grind your teeth again, when you are asleep or when you are awake . . " I wonder if that could work . . .
DeleteWell, it's worth a try....lol....but I tell myself that just before falling asleep and it hasn't worked yet!
DeleteYou need someone really hypnotic to do it . . . . lol
DeleteYes, with a pocket watch to sway in front of my eyes...haha...
DeleteGo to sleeeep !! . . .rofl
DeleteThat's what I said at first and you said no! lol....
Deletelol
DeleteI used to grind my teeth, but that's all cured now. I just take them out at night and pop them into a glass of water, and let them grind away to themselves! Ha!
ReplyDeletelol...do they blow bubble and gargle, too?
DeleteThey keep me awake at night with their constant chattering. . . . especially when it's cold!
DeleteIf Dinky puts them in her mouth, I want a picture!
Deletelol . . . so funny Keith . .
DeleteWell Betsy . . you know the cure . . . have your teeth out and wear false ones . . . haha
Yeah, we don't need brown
ReplyDeleteThat can leave color town
That must stink to have that in
But I guess if it stops the teeth grinding spin
He sounds like a great boss indeed
I guess your blog he does read?
Cocoa is kind of a chocolate brown.
DeleteIf it was gone, he'd have to leave town!
The Mister told people at work about Nugget,
so I guess he spilled the bucket...
or beans...
you know what I mean. lol....
lol had to make it work
DeleteWith the bucket beans perk
The things I do to make comments rhyme!
DeleteI hope you think it's all sublime!
You gotta love a boss like that. Sweet Nugget...and sweet flowers. I can't have any kind of chewy candy as I have a mouth full of partials. I had these awful gaps for years, and hated to smile for pictures and you know I love to smile. Well a friend told me of a Christian Dentist that love to give fantastic discounts to Ministers and Missionaries. So a couple years ago, I had an upper and lower partial to fill in the gaps...I love it. Had to get use to feeling something foreign in my mouth...now I forget I have them.
ReplyDeletebtw... I also love Monday's.
DeleteI'm so glad you got those partials because you have a gorgeous smile!
DeleteYes, that boss is a wonderful man...he has the gift of encouragement, that is for sure!
Great thoughts....I like Mondays ok...love getting flowers....don't grind my teeth...not a candy fan....BUT! I am also enjoying a chickadee family here at home! So cute!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening Betsy...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I am so glad you don't grind your teeth! You'd mess up your lovely smile!
DeleteThe chickadees sure are cute! It's almost hard to tell which are the kids and which are the parents now!
What a kind gesture from the Mister's boss.
ReplyDeleteI know...it was a wonderful surprise!
DeleteWhat a nice boss! It means a lot to know others care. I never heard of French chews!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to look for them if you like taffy!
DeleteHaven't tried French chews yet, but I'm not really a candy person. Although I do like gummies!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your mouth contraption, but I hope it helps.
What a kind, caring boss the Mister has, it makes the world of difference in the workplace.
How nice of your husband's boss and his wife to send flowers to you. It warms my heart to hear there are people like this out there. My little one grids his teeth from sleep sometimes but so hard that it worries me ... wishing that the last step works for you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your straight teeth!!! You're going to have to flash a smile when it's all said and done. And...I love Mondays also!! Fridays is the reminder that you ran out of time to do your work. Monday is a clean new slate.
ReplyDeleteHey Betsy, so sorry for Nuggets..I didn't know about it..my condolences..
