Little Succulent Garden

Look what jumped into my cart while I was at the
grocery today!  One for me and one for Lauren.
Yep, we both needed one.  Really!
I've been admiring succulents as they have enjoyed an
increased following over the last few years.
It's about time I jumped on the band wagon....
better late than never!

    1. Isn't it? The grocery is sneaky, you know...you have to walk by the plants and flowers right when you go in. :)

  2. Those silly jumping plants...They see you coming and get ready, one, two, jump~~~ These are darling little succulent gardens. I should have brought my succulents, but they were in big pots, and I didn't take time to get cuttings. Lauren will love this sweet gift.

  5. They jumped into your cart? So you'd better take good care of them for they obviously really wanted to be with you.

Thanks for stopping by.... but the real question is... where are you in our game?

  6. Quite the jump
Jumped in in a double clump
    One to share
    And one for your lair
    Hopefully they don't get eaten
By anyone on four legs who goes a treatin

    1. Shadow tried to eat a rose one time
but that's the only trouble of that kind.
Now Orlin would munch and crunch
and gobble up the whole bunch!

    2. He'd rip it apart
      Right out of your cart
And leave the mess on the floor

  7. I'm devastated, mine never jump, but I must admit, yours are much younger.
What a thoughtful MIL you are, but then it's how you roll......

Succulents are some of my favorite plants.
They don't die so fast when I forget to water them.

    3. I had a gigantic jade plant at one time...it lived many years!
I was just thinking today that I should get a large indoor plant...maybe a ficus tree...I haven't had one in a very long time!

  10. I bought one similar to that for my dd. Found it at a place in Palm Springs. Moorten Botanical gardens. If you get a few minutes google image them. It is kind of funky and old timey but I really loved the place. It is probably about 115 degrees there now. I think we went in the springtime a few years ago. I am not really keen on succulents but wow are some good looking.

No sun....thunderstorms ALL week due to a tropical storm in Texas.

  13. Hi Betsy - they are gorgeous. I see many here in rock gardens. I made some of the plant name-sticks like you showed us. This might help me to remember names, too. Do you have them in your garden? Would love to see how they look. Deb

    1. Can't wait to see your name sticks! No, mine aren't in the ground yet but when I get out there (it's been raining for days) the ground will be so soft it won't take any effort to hammer them in! haha....I'll take a picture when I do.
