There's One In Every Bunch!

Whether it's people, pets, or even eggs,
there's always one difficult one!
Can you believe that egg?
Good thing it wasn't the first one I peeled
or I might not have tried the others!
It was the devilish one in my deviled eggs. ha.

    1. Isn't that crazy? It was from the same dozen, too, so it wasn't too fresh to boil. Crazy!

    1. No sign of Peaches. He just came one time after I took him to the vet, but that was 11 days ago. :(

  9. I watched a friend take the boiled egg and drop it in a regular coffee cup and shake it around. The peels came off every one just right. I think they were warm when she did it but it was really neat. I make no guarantees though. Easy to try. I haven't tried it myself yet. I am still hoping for Peaches to show up. I hope he is mooching chow somewhere.

  11. Betsy, this may seem like a difficult egg but in fact it is a sign that the egg is very fresh!!! When the shell is hard to peel off like this, it means it is the freshest egg : -) it is actually a good sign :-)!!! Happy Sunday :-)

  14. That's so funny! I had two that broke while boiling and made a real mess. Thanks for the reminder about the reality of life. My girls give me 3 eggs everyday and I have to keep them for at least two weeks before I can hard boil them...they are too fresh and very hard to peel. They say if you steam them, they won't do that. I don't have a steamer....but this works fine for me.

  15. One time I was making deviled eggs for a pot luck and half of them ended up looking like your stubborn one. I changed my plans and made a 'deviled egg' casserole...egg whites cut into chunks, mixed with the prepared filling, poured into a bowl, and served with a spoon. Although it was unconventional, the bowl was empty by the end of the party.
