Spring Foyer Table

It was well past time to take down the St. Patrick's Day
stuff and bring a little spring to my foyer table!
I just used things from around my house...love that
and it didn't cost a thing.

The rabbit is vintage Pier One.
I gave it to my niece one Easter and then bought it back
at a family garage sale years ago.
The antique metal pedestal was my grandma's.

The little nest is from my yard...from a finch, I think.
And the polished stone eggs are from an auction.

The hand blown eggs are from an auction, too!
They are actually ornaments, but I thought they looked
more like Easter than Christmas.

The cranberry glass was my great aunt's.

There is not a lot of color here in Ohio yet,
so these Pussy Willows are perfect right now.

And I love the way they compliment my little vintage postcard.

Blue sky and sun today!
And the temps are just hitting 60 this afternoon!
Won't be long now!

  1. Oh gosh I'm first ... I love the Pussy Willow - I used to get sprigs for my mother and add them to her daffodils ... she loved the feel of buds - and then the leaves appeared ... such good value - and the whole Spring Foyer table looks amazing .. and love that you bought your rabbit back after your niece had her share of him!!! Cheers and Happy Easter preparations .. Hilary

    1. You can't get more spring-like than pussy willows and daffodils! I bet that bouquet was beautiful!

  2. I always love your little table that changes with the seasons, but I do wish you would get that scale put right. No matter what you put on it the pointer never moves. If it cant be repaired at least push the pointer to zero. Oooo, it does irritate me; I want to catch the next plane over and do it for you! Ha.

    1. It's not broken..the needle moves just fine! If I took the vase of pussy willows off, it would go back to zero!

    2. Look at it here...the books are heavier and moved the needle more...

  3. So welcoming and fresh with beautiful hints of Easter and spring. How nice that so many family memories are incorporated. I love it all, Betsy, but I think the glass eggs on the pedestal are my favourite. Having kind of a tough day, so this cheered me.

    1. Isn't it sweet? Hardly looks strong enough to hold baby birds, but it was in the tree!

    1. The scale seems to be the constant there, doesn't it? It's my way of keeping it simple...then I don't have to find a new place for it. ha.

    1. Yes...exactly....old things but they are never put together the same way twice, so it's a new look!
