Before The Dawn

The morning broke rainy and foggy.
This was the view from my kitchen window.
Beautiful and magical!

  1. Magical is the perfect word! We had dense fog last night and this morning, too. Couldn't see across the yard. I love the fog, mist and rain. It is so peaceful.
I like the one little orange leaf in your photo. It is the perfect pop of color in this black and white view.

    3. Sounds like a nice day there...it dried up and the sun is shining here. I actually cracked a window open a little while to let some
fresh air in, but it was too chilly and only stayed open about 5 minutes. ha.

    5. Well, you lasted longer than me. But it was only 50 degrees here. It was nice for a few minutes, though, I will admit! And the birds are singing like it's spring!

    1. It was beautiful! Do you think spring is really on it's way or is this a tease before another snow? ha.

  6. Oh....it is!!! It looks so cool and refreshing. Love it!

P.S. I fed the birds, let's see how long it takes for them to come. I'm telling you, there's a shortage around here.

  8. I awoke today to see the sunlight streaming in through the window, I leapt out of bed full of the joys of spring and flung the window wide open to listen to the dawn chorus. Then as I became more aware I realised that the "sunlight" was the street lamp outside that had failed to switch off because of the dark grey sky, and the dawn chorus was just the sound of the rain drumming on the greenhouse roof! Oh, woe, woe!

    1. haha....with the time change, it is pitch black when we need to wake up. I've been dragging the boys out of bed all week! Sigh!
