I had not heard of them either and saw them on Pinterest a couple of weeks before Christmas! Pretty cool...just two or three snips and you have a pile of perfectly chopped pieces! And they go in the dishwasher...very nice.
Well, I think they do an absolutely wizard job on the herbs, just how I like 'em, not chopped into a million pieces with a knife. I first encountered those scissors at the cookery school when I was in Paris. Thought I MUST have a pair no matter what the cost!
Pretty please, can you email me the recipe, or the contents, of that delicious looking salad? I'm need a few new ideas. My "Salade Niçoise" is getting a bit boring nowadays.
That makes rolling my cilantro into a ball and chopping it up with a big knife no fun at all. I think maybe I'll go buy some more dried red chile pods. :0)
Me too. I was watching Ireland MasterChef the other day and the entire back window of the studio, is all herbs. All kinds. Brilliant idea. Just to line the entire sunny window.
Hi Betsy .. I still use a mezzaluna - these make sense ... such a lovely idea and clever old Santa!! Happy rest of January and Feb - then I'l be back .. Hilary

That's how I've always done it...or just used regular scissors, which takes a while!

I used normal scissors, too...I liked that better than chopping with a knife.
DeleteIm agree!

ReplyDeleteVery fun! I'm going to use then when I make some of your yummy soups that I 'pinned' yesterday! :)
DeleteOh wow- I like those scissors. Your Mexican snack looks pretty good too!
