- All the fruit looked good today at the grocery. I had to get out extra bowls to hold it all!
- A cyclamen jumped into my cart, too. I had one of these years ago and they don't stop blooming...ever! In fact, the very first post on my blog was about a cyclomen. Happy to have one again!
- Still loving that ruby red grapefruit...so sweet!
- Ms. Nuthatch enjoying some sunflower seeds.
- Toppings for pasta...or in this case, it was spaghetti squash.
- The current view out a window.
♥
All looks very nice, especially the spaghetti squash. I did sardines, chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, chopped apple and chillies on spaghetti tonite. I forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it!
ReplyDeleteI beat Eddie again! He's slowing up in his old age. Ha!
DeleteWell, now..that combination would certainly wake up your taste buds!
DeleteHi Keith: The first shall be last and the last shall be first , , , , !
DeleteDon't forget to plant the cyclamen in your garden when he stops flowering.
ReplyDeleteok! Last time I had one, it lived about 6 years and didn't ever stop flowering!
DeleteI just want to move in with you!
ReplyDeleteLet's all move in!
DeleteHere Here!
DeleteI'll pull out the sleeping bags. :)
DeleteHi Betsy....
ReplyDeleteI had a cyclamen jump into my cart 2 weeks ago...
And last week a hot pink Christmas cactus....
The Starlings were very busy today, eating all the berries on my Ivy!
Perhaps an apple pie bread with those apples?
Think we'll go to the cottage tomorrow....gonna be toasty!
Are you ready for the arctic blast?
Enjoy your evening...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I can't keep Christmas cactus' alive! Poor things cringe when I walk by them in the stores because they know! hahaha....
DeleteWe had our last lovely warm day today I think...the cold is coming!
Nice lot of fruit . . . bet it doesn't last long!!
ReplyDeleteI like cyclamen plants but I just can't give them the TLC they deserve. . .
I could help you finish that grapefruit . .
Nice shot of Ms Nuthatch ~ we actually have them here too.
Gosh Betsy I am drooling over that meal . . . . Beautiful garden view with Autumnal colours . . . :)
The meal was delicious....just whatever is in the frig. ha.
DeleteYou drooling over here too Eddie?
DeleteI love my food . . . . or more accurately someone else's . . . lol
DeleteYour fruit looks delicious. We purchased a new pottery bowl for fruit yesterday for our anniversary. I have never had a cyclamen, but now I want one. Love the view from your window.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun anniversary present! I love that kind of pottery!
Delete
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. I love your bird-feeder. Did you make it, Betsy? Your pasta toppings look delicious. I do the same....clean out the fridge. Ilove your header. Deb
I got that feeder at Walmart! I loved it so much (squirrel proof) that I bought a second one!
DeleteWell, when I mean squirrel proof, I mean they (and raccoons) can't dump the whole feeder on the ground. :)
DeleteWho ever said they wanted to move in with you....I right behind them. I'll bring my own sleeping bag...can I be on the floor next to the coffee pot? The Mister wouldn't approve...I think that too close.. HaHa.
ReplyDeleteI have a cut from Don't mom's Christmas Cactus...it's bloomed once, and seems to like the balcony.
Since I'm not posting, and pacing myself...today I had time to make a pumpkin pie. It's just that time, isn't it.
Are you kidding? I'd leave the mister alone and join the slumber party! haha...I'll bring the coffee pot with me....he doesn't drink coffee! lol....
DeleteIn that case, I'll bring the cream and scones. I can't think of anything more fun that a slumber party with all the gals that comment on your blog. Now I know the men who post would want an invitation too. HaHa.
DeleteLol...that would be so fun. Wonder what the neighbors would think. Maybe I'll just invite them, too...since they are probably reading this anyway...lol....
DeleteFirst post to today
ReplyDeleteThat's like what, 2200 on display?
Good long while
Sense you first turned the dial
I like that view too
No white stuff in view
What a very good guess from you!
Delete2235 is the exact number to view!
You've already beat me on the comments, though.
But you have a more, um, interesting show. haha.
lol damn I was close in guessing today
Delete35 off isn't bad I'd say
Comments thanks to zombie feet
Leave all in defeat lol
You sure were close
Deleteso you can now boast!
Love your this and that.
ReplyDeleteWere those bowls in the shop at one point? They look so great with fruit in them.
I had cyclamens that lasted longer than things usually last with me! But, like you, my Mom has had ones that have lived for years and years. And her violets do too.
The colours in the last two pics are quite similar - food and nature. Beautiful. That view is incredible and what's in the skillet looks incredible too!
The smallest bowl was in the shop...and then I found the other two at the auctions and it completed the nesting set, so it was chosen to live with me. ha.
DeleteThey look so great together - I love the different designs on their rims.
DeleteI think I have lost my touch with flowers. A student gave me a Cyclamen last year and it died.....whoops.
ReplyDeleteUh oh! You should try again. If I remember rightly..they like lots of water. I always kept mine by the kitchen sink so I wouldn't forget it.
DeleteEverything is so pretty in the fall. Do you think we could let that Polar Vortex pass on by, just this once?
ReplyDeleteIt does seem a bit early, doesn't it? But I was looking at last year's November photos and we had snow mid November!
DeleteGuess we have to face the music then.
DeleteA couple of years ago I got a cyclamen as a party favor. It was loaded with beautiful pink blooms. The next morning the flowers were all gone, each one snapped carefully off. I suspected one of the cats. Sure enough, eventually they came sniffing around the plant to see if there was anything they'd missed. No more cyclamens for me!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's interesting! Shadow will do that with a rose...I'll have to see if they bother this one! I didn't have cats last time I had one!
DeleteThe fruit looks yummy and so photogenic in those bowls!
ReplyDeleteI love your birdfeeder. :)
That's the best feeder I've ever had!
Deletei couldn't figure out what the grapefruit was,,, now craving it. veggies look so good mine look faded and horrid in pics after cooking
ReplyDeletejane with one hand
I hope you're getting lots of pampering! :)
DeleteYes, the food looks scrumptious, and the animals look cute, and the flowers look fabulous : but what impresses me most of all is the quality of the photography. A pleasure to look at - one and all.
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you, Alan! That means a lot coming from a great photographer like yourself!
DeleteHi Betsy - love the fruits ... the stir-fry ... I think I will get cyclamen for the lady I visit in the Nursing Centre and one for me - they are so bright and cheerful ... and then pink grapefruit - always delicious ... love the autumn shots ... warming blog to visit .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI love the fruits, look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteSo totally not the point, but I love your fruit bowls!! xx
ReplyDeleteYour view is so pretty and peaceful looking. I may copy your spaghetti toppings- that looks yum. All of your photos are nice!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so fresh and beautiful..
