Oh dear! I would love it...but it seems a bit early. Mid December this would be more welcome to most people! I don't really think it will stick to our ground...too warm underneath. Love watching it fall, though!
When I was a freshman in college, a girl in my dorm was from Florida and had never seen snow! She was so excited when winter came~and she froze the whole time. ha.
Snow flurries are always exciting! Like you, I get giddy as well. Like a little kid! I'm not ready for them here yet though, even though the weather guru's all say we will get more than normal this year. Here we get 2 or 3 snows a year.... mostly 3 - 6 inches.... occasionally, we get some that are disastrous with 1 foot or so.... shuts down life for about a week!! Stock up the woodpile!!! Oh yeah... next week's chore!!
You guys down there just don't have the salt, plowing trucks and driving experience to deal with a foot or more, I'm sure. I think it would be kind of fun for life to shut down like that. I don't mind being snowed in as long as the power stays on and the refrigerator is full. ha,....the perfect scenario for a hermit like me. lol....
Oh, wow! We got our first snow today too! You captured yours beautifully . . . I hope it's a nice blanket for you- mine is all melted and now we just have an ice rink out there! :(
No, they are still green. Some of the other trees in the complex dropped their leaves, but ours are still green. I'm liking that as it would look so bare if all the leaves were gone.
Hi Betsy - falling snow does draw us in ... and I love to watch too - that silence ... thankfully we're still 'warm' still in double figures 11 - 14 deg C .. lucky us ... but the photo is delightful .. cheers Hilary
We've already had a flurry here, no doubt a sample of what's to come!
ReplyDeleteWe don't get weather in Britland, we get samples!
DeleteSamples are nice...just a little taste without a belly full. haha.
DeleteNot if one of the "samples" is a tornado! We do get them.
DeleteA sample tornado? ha...sounds better than a real one. I suppose you hide in that homemade cabinet of yours when one blows over?
DeleteNothing scares me! Well, apart from the ex-wife that is.
Deleteits a pretty photo but where I'm looking out my window we have a foot and a half, and it went past pretty a few days ago!

The first snow was this time last year, too! Maybe it's our new normal!
DeleteLove the first snow but that's it.
ReplyDeletehaha...oh, you better change that attitude....we've only just begun! It's not even winter for another 5 weeks! lol...
DeleteWell when you're done staring out there, you're welcome to come stare at ours. There's more than I'd like to see but alas, it is November.
ReplyDeleteLove the header. It makes me want to slurp on a hot chocolate right now.
I know...I'm the only one who likes it. But ours isn't sticking like yours....no snowmen for us!
DeleteGrowing up here in GA, I always enjoy seeing the snow fall. Beautiful photo!

DeleteIt's going to be a long winter. We'll try to send our snow your way since you like it so much. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I think you're right...it's going to be long and cold! Ohio is going to hate me if you send us yours! Oh dear! haha...
DeleteBeautiful shot Betsy ~ snow already ~ what a lovely sight it makes from your window . . . )
ReplyDeleteIt didn't last long...melted away...I guess more is on it's way, though!

ReplyDeleteBacksplash finished yet?
Enjoy your evening..
Cheers!
Linda :o)
backsplash just got finished today...in fact, everything was finished today! Time to finish moving in and enjoy it!
DeleteSo pretty...I hear your excitement. Tiny little barely perceptible flurries here! lol!
ReplyDeleteJane x
It came down nice and thick and then melted away...ground is too warm! Oh well, it was pretty for a few minutes! Ha.
DeleteYay, snow!!!! Looks so pretty against the red leaves. I bet that tree was surprised. Can't wait to get some of the white stuff here!
ReplyDeleteIt was beautiful! Nothing today though except frost on the rooftops.
DeleteOh, wow! We got our first snow today too! You captured yours beautifully . . . I hope it's a nice blanket for you- mine is all melted and now we just have an ice rink out there! :(
ReplyDeleteNo blanket....came and went in a flash. Ha.
DeleteWhat a pretty picture it makes. It was chilly in CA today. Not like your chilly, but I had my jeans and denim jacket on.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a little chilly for you! Maybe a blanket while you're out on the balcony? Ha.
DeleteHey...did your leaves ever turn color?
DeleteNo, they are still green. Some of the other trees in the complex dropped their leaves, but ours are still green. I'm liking that as it would look so bare if all the leaves were gone.
DeleteOh crumbs! Yorkshire is just wet and windy...stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI heard you all might blow away in that wind! Ha.

ReplyDeleteJust cold and grey here today....looks like it could snow again!
DeleteReally nice of you to take the snow off the hands of us Canadians. :-)
ReplyDeleteLol....you didn't send me enough! What a tease!
DeleteUh oh, they said you were going to get some! Hope it doesn't last too long, so early. You'll surely have some more in time.
ReplyDeleteOh...snow...I dread it!! But it does look very pretty for the 5 minutes before it turns to sludge in NY. Bleh haha
ReplyDeleteI need your attitude...come help me! XO
