Vintage Turtle Pin Cushion

I just had to bid on this little turtle pin cushion
at the auction this week.
He's ceramic, with a velvet cushion.
And the best part?  His little head nods!
From the 1950's ~ an early bobble head!

He's in the shop, if you can't live without him.

    5. I did think about keeping him....I think he's adorable! But I already have a couple of vintage bird pin cushions that I have some sentimental attachment to. :)

  8. Betsy...this really rings a bell in my head. Did my mom have one of these only bigger? Or was it a trinket box? I somehow remember the red velvet. Goodness, I'm going batty!

Did you take the picture of the baby birds in your header? That is hysterically cute!

    1. Bobble heads are probably glad we stopped sticking them with pins!
Think of all that pain we'd cause poking their hind ends! ha.
