I picked strawberries, baked bread and bar cookies,
did some laundry, worked a little in the garden,
put a chimney in my new lamp,
made a gigantic pan of farfalla lasagna,
caught a triple cat hug,
and cleaned out my purse.
And that was after I met with repair men
and ran some errands. A fun, busy day!
Did you have a good day?
We're having lovely weather.
Cool like fall. That makes me happy!
Gotta love a summer polar vortex!
♥
Oh my what a productive Wednesday. The bread looks so inviting with butter and jam...(CT theme this time is bread and jam). Your kitties are just too cute..they must see you coming and say it's time to pose for Betsy. I just finished making potato salad as we're having bunless hamburgers tonight. HaHa...I cleaned out my purse today too. And got a new Mr. Coffee Pot...Yeah!
ReplyDeleteI think CT has had that theme before! Just dig out your old entry! ha.
DeleteCleaned out your purse? Mine looks so much better! lol....
Sorry, got it wrong again.
ReplyDeleteSnap! I baked two loaves of bread today, and cleaned the slime out of the frog pond. Not at the same time you realise.
Then I went to the park and shouted at the seagulls.
There...I tidied up after you so you'd look all neat and presentable. ha.
DeleteYou baked bread today, too? Great minds! Did Dinky mind the frogs while you cleaned their pond?
Next time you shout at the seagulls, take your camera. I want a picture of that!
Sorry - don't think you have done enough yet! :-) Love that triple cat hug - they are so darn cute! Who is the kitty with her tongue out in the gigundo bowls of cat food pic? She is so pretty. If it is a she. Is that Cinder?
ReplyDeleteIt was a very productive day! I think it was the sunshine and cool temps!
DeleteThat is Samantha licking her chops. Cinder, Shadow's twin, is in the garden with the cucumber plant. All three of them are from the same litter (with Smoke).
Ah yes - Samantha is the petite, girly one. She is so pretty. She is the one who was nestled under the TV when you were watching Nascar the other day? Love her markings. We need a cat family tree to keep track! Ha!
DeleteYes, that was her! She is a pretty little thing!
DeleteI, too, want a picture of Keith shouting at the seagulls.
ReplyDeleteOK...it's a must, then! Keith! haha....
DeleteI want a brownie!
ReplyDeletePlease take one....or two! :)
DeleteWow, those are huge bowls of food
ReplyDeleteBut I guess you have to feed your kitty brood
And no summer vortex here
Still hot I fear
But oh well
Beats snow and its hell haha
16 cats can empty those bowls every day!
DeleteNo little tiny things at my bay.
You can have the heat.
I don't think it's neat!
My . . . you have been productive today, eating strawberries, baking, laundry . . . . on the go all day I would think :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a lovely day! Something yesterday put a spring in my step I think.
DeleteAnd I had to get caught up through tomorrow since I work an auction!
I am so pleased you had such a good day after your good day yesterday and clearing the way fir auction work tomorrow :)
DeleteI guess I'm just having a pretty good week! :)
DeleteI think busy days can be the best. I make that type of pasta bake too and my family loves it!
ReplyDeleteI think so, too! You just get on a roll and keep going! ha.
DeleteYour loaves of bread look wonderful. There's something about baking them in real pans (as opposed to a bread machine) that makes tem extra-special
ReplyDeleteThis recipe is so easy I don't even want to get the bread machine out. In fact, I was thinking I might just put it in a thrift store box! It's so big and cumbersome and I like this recipe better!
DeleteGlad to see you're not just lounging around being all lazy-like! WOW! Cooking, and baking, and shopping... oh my!! And we got a little bit of that Fall weather tease all the way down here. Oh I'm anxious now!
ReplyDeleteMe lounge around? Never! haha...I have too much coffee flowing through my veins. :) Don, I picked a zucchini today the size of a submarine. I like to pick them a little smaller than this, but we'll enjoy eating it! Sauteed in a little onion and garlic? Oh yum!
DeleteThose oversized zukes are also great for baking in the oven (after splitting in half length-ways), and covering in a good sprinkling of parmasean cheese. BUT we haven't had any get that big this year. Haven't had many at all so far. Don't know what's going on with them! And yeah.... you seem to be a big coffee drinker! HAHAHAHA.....
DeleteYum...that's a good idea! Hey...we should have had a zucchini contest! What was I thinking!?
DeleteAh dear I love yours strawberries and your breads look amazing
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of the cats too are lovely!
That bread is the best recipe ever! So easy...only one rising...and I love the texture.
DeleteI think the Robins are eating my strawberries! Several of them had nibbles on them. haha.
Ah dear happens me in the past summer the birds ate all my cherries!
DeleteIm sure they would be delicious!
Hope you can eat more than the birds lol
When I used to have a cherry tree, the birds would eat ours, too! My neighbor puts a net over his to save the cherries!
DeleteHa ha here in the countryside told us put some bells, put something to cover, or put something move ha!
DeleteThe birds dont scared with nothing and ate all cherries lol
They said if you want cherries buy yours:)
Have Espe make a scarecrow! ha.
DeleteLoved the triple hug. Now, what is farfalla lasagna? Inquiring minds want to know.
ReplyDeleteFarfalla is bow tie pasta...it's just easier than those long lasagna noodles!
DeleteI love it when bloggers do this, I love yours best of all, you had a very productive day!!! I just did a post something like this for tomorrow, lol, great minds think a like, you had a yummy day!
ReplyDeleteI did have a productive day...lovely, full of beauty and getting things done. Can't wait to see yours! Yes, great minds!
DeleteIs that a cantaloupe?
ReplyDeleteI grew those last year, but the raccoons bit into every new one that grew!
Seems like my yesterday was very similar to your today!
My strawberry plant shrivelled on the weekend, but has since revived!
No new berries though....guess it's done for the season....
Enjoy your evening...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
It's a spaghetti squash! lol.... Lots of blooms and this one veggie. He must be an early bloomer. ha.
Deletesounds like your strawberry was a June-bearing plant. It will come back next year..just plant it in the ground!
I always love your photos. You have been super busy. Your baked items look delicious. Love your strawberries. But my favorite pics are the kitty cats. Have a good night.
ReplyDeleteI'm never lacking for a cat posing at the camera! haha. Thanks, Mildred. :)
DeleteSounds like a lovely Wednesday ... We are very warm in Bend, near 100! But the humidity is low so we aren't terribly uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteWe are in the 60's!!! I guess the polar vortex isn't hitting Oregon. haha.... Brr.
DeleteYou had a busy, productive day! That bread looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite kind of day! The bread is yummy...recipe in my bread label, if you're interested.
DeleteYup- sounds like one busy day! Gosh that bread looks good! And I LOVE your purse- so cute! (funny enough, I actually cleaned out my purse today, too!)
ReplyDeleteToday's been fine for me: got some gardening done, filled out forms to authorize my boys to go to camp for three days (felt like three days just to fill them out!),did a little summer decorating, sent an Ebay package and read a couple chapters of my book. I've been SO TIRED today, so I'm thinking I'll turn in early tonight . . .
The purse is Ann Taylor ...thrift store find. :) It must have been the day for cleaning out purses! You had a good day, too! Sweet dreams early!
DeleteI think you ARE Wonder Woman...not a wannabe! Yet I, too. have your zest for cramming a lot in one day...it's fun and fulfilling. I love the pic of you and Spencer on your sidebar. I've never seen your hubby but I think your boys are so handsome and share the best of you, pretty lady! :)
DeleteJane xx
Oh, he was on here this week...just page down. :) The boys look like him but got my brown eyes.
DeleteIt looks like a great days work! You certainly did a lot. xx
ReplyDeleteA lot...but fun stuff, too. Today I'm at an auction though, so nothing will get done! haha.
DeleteThat summer polar vortex is a killer for our pool time.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt!
DeleteI love your pictures. You are very skilled with that camera, most of mine are not so good. It's rare I take any good ones, and then it's only by chance.
ReplyDeleteI read through your archives tonight, and noted that you seem to have a lot of cats, just how many have you got?
Thanks, Tony! Would you believe I have 16?
DeleteIt looks like you are giving a happy and busy summer,Betsy! I have been fortunate to have done some traveling. Enjoy the cooler weather while it lasts!
ReplyDeleteI've seen your travelling pictures...mainly on facebook! Looks so fun!
DeleteI will probably be your last commenter on this post. Lucky me! Everyone else is vying for first. :0)
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love your cat pictures. Had to look for that third one in the group hug photo.
And, I do love your lamp! Very nice.
I'm enjoying that lamp, too! Now it looks complete!
DeleteAnd I think you are last...but the other's just don't realize that last is best...first is worst. ha.
And I'm still blond. Just realized there are two cat photos with three cats and one is quite obviously three cats hugging.
Delete*blush*
You just need some coffee. ha.
DeleteYou really had a busy day..:)
