Rainbow

We sure had fun at the NASCAR race yesterday!
Mainly because our guy, Jeff Gordon, won the race!
There was a threat of thunderstorms that totally
missed us, so we had nice weather, a great time
and came home with suntans, freckles, and smiles.
We even had a huge, magnificent rainbow
take us home.

The only downer was that I charged my camera
battery the night before and forgot to put it
back in my camera before we left.
So, I was forced to use my phone camera, which I'd
never used before!  Not only is the quality much less, but
my finger was over the lens on most of my shots!  Geesh!
So, you get to see the rainbow, since this shot came out best.

We had so much fun, we're doing it again in August...
travelling up to Michigan.  Can't wait!

Did you have a nice weekend?
We're back to the polar vortex with cool temps and
a breeze today!  Feels like fall!  Lovely!

  2. LMAO I guess you and phone cameras don't mix one bit
But you could have a career if figure shots were the goal of it hahaha
    Glad it was grand
And it didn't rain across your land

    1. Give me the technical camera display
I'll work with that any day!
      But the phone I hadn't a clue
and didn't know what to do!
Had to ask Lauren what button to use
which I'm sure that fact to you will amuse.

  5. I guess we've all done that at some time - or taken the camera without a memory card.. I regularly get phone pics of my finger too. Lovely rainbow nevertheless - and some happy memories for you even if you didn't get any pics to remember it by.

    2. Excuse for butting in ladies . . . . . what about a car charger adapter so it could be charging when journeying?

    3. Well, that wouldn't have helped this time with my battery at home. haha. But I should see exactly what is available for my camera!

  8. Beautiful rainbow! Was it an Indiana rainbow? I know what you mean by the finger over the lens on the phone camera. Most of mine are that way : )

  9. Great shot of the rainbow, Betsy. Did you sing the song? Your home was somewhere under the rainbow.
What a shame you could not use your camera - bet you will next time.
Glad your guy won and so pleased you had such a good time - really happy for you with Taylor and Lauren. . . . . :)

  11. We had beautiful weather over the weekend and today we were blessed with a rather dark and gloomy kind of day.
I've left my camera card at home in the printer and this particular camera won't take a single shot without it.
Your rainbow is pretty. Maybe it will be here by tomorrow. If not, somebody better send an ark!
    :0)

  12. I knew you'd have a good time at the race yesterday. I checked in early this morning but you hadn't posted yet. Where was the race? Did you have a long drive? I wanted to let you know that you inspired me and I made the zucchini boats today for an early dinner/late lunch. Yours looked so yummy when you showed a photo of them a few days ago. Then I noticed in your sidebar that you cooked them today, too! Great minds ...! We liked them a lot.

My zucchini boats are in the oven right now. I made them Mexican this time. I hope they're good. ha. They're smelling good!

  13. I actually like the long, skinny orientation of your camera phone for the rainbow :-)

Last time I used my camera I was halfway through the pictures I needed to take when the battery pooped out. I was NOT happy!

We had a good weekend too celebrating husbands birthday.
