Well, what a pretty visitor to have looking in the window at you!! xx
Isn't he? He's been around a few years...my very favorite....he actually looks at me and poses. So sweet.
Flirting bird.. eh. :)
Yes! lol....I swear he winks and blows kisses, too! ha.
Aww.he is so cute:)
Isn't he? I love this little bird. He always visits!
Now I can see in the PC I think the picture is more amazing that I saw yesterday. he is looking you! haha!here the doves looking me too! The birds are amazing!
My doves don't look at me! Only Mr. Cardinal here!
Well he knows is your favotite lol
While the Mister's away...the birds will flirt and play!!! I would have a crush too.
Isn't he so cute? I love the way he cocks his head and looks at me! Sigh! haha.
I love that first picture, he looks so cheeky peeping through the leaves. We never see birds as exotic as that here. The nearest we get are just a few exotic pigeons and crows, and Scruff chases them off in double quick time.
No red colored birds for you over there? The Cardinal is our state bird...lots of them here! But we wouldn't think of it as exotic.I'll trade you a few cardinals for some English Robins! Deal?
Hands off our Robins ! We need all of them for Christmas Cards.
hahaha....Isn't that funny...we use Cardinals on ours!
Would be nice if Cardinals could be introduced over here and your Robins, Betsy, are much bigger than ours - they'd have ours for breakfast!
Beautiful photos and the captions are perfect for his expression!
I was cracking up making those speech bubbles. He's so cute!
I love the fact that the daddy cardinals help feed their young. Years ago my family's home backed up onto woods, and we would sometimes see a large number of pairs cavorting in the trees. I love seeing a pair come to my neighbor's feeder year-long, often at twilight. Lynne in NC
Aren't they beautiful? I never tire of watching them. And their song is beautiful, too!
lol has to have you in viewNo one else will do
love that. ha.
I don't know! . . . all these attractive male callers !!Must be the shapely leg, shorts and red tow nails . . . . . lol :)
. . . or even legs . . . .lol
yes, I do have two!
Its just as well, otherwise you would fall over.
I am laughing SO hard! Yes, it's Wonder Woman I want to be...not a pirate with a peg leg!
Especially if I have to 'tow' one!
I thought you might be hopping mad!! . . . . . hahaha. . . and thought you might 'tow' the line! . . . .
Now why would I be mad? And it's you who had better toe the line. And yes, it is still 'toe' in this instance, too!
scrub that last one . . . . still having comment problems.Meant to say . . . looked it up and you are quite right , it is "Toe the Line!"
You had to look that up? Silly man...I guess you didn't get what the expression meant! You mum never said that to you?
I'm beginning to wonder what sort of people I'm mixed up with here, and I thought I was the one that should be in 'The Home for the Bewildered' (in the next room to Eddie ?)
hahaha! In answer to you . . . dear, dear Betsy . . . lol. . . . of course I knew what it meant . . . lol . . . by looking it up I was just trying to see exactly how the word 'toe' was used in its original context . . . and the best I can see is that they used to put their toe on the mark to get ready for something . . . Apparently it is quite common for people to erroneously spell it "Tow the line!" . . . now after all that I am going to get back to my padded cell next to Keith . . . . ROFL. Referring to my other goof about your lovely toe nails - it was just a funny typo (yet another) . . . w is next to e on the keyboard . . . LOL Good morning Keith!
I think my advise to you, dear Eddie is that when you've dug yourself into a hole, stop digging! Lol....
lol . . . but isn't it advice? . . . :)
Lol! Give me that shovel and let me give you a whack!
ouch . . . lol
Seriously Betsy . . . . they are all great shots :)
He's a pretty good looking admirer!
yep, he sure is a handsome fella! :)
Love how you weave a story with your photos.I guess I am going to have to break out my camera and start snapping.
What a name like yours, yes you had better! haha.
Those are some sweet shots and I love the captions.
He's such an easy subject. ha.
Aw, he's gorgeous!I can keep a secret.:0)
Oh good! Shhh!
Hi Betsy - me too .. secrets of the Red Cardinal all hidden away. Great photo shots and fun captions .. birds and critters are amazing .. cheers Hilary
Mr cardinal has always been a favorite of mine to photograph. Not only is he colorful, but he always has the cutest expressions and body movements. It just lends itself to cartoons!
Haha! He's a looker!
Isn't he? Irresistible!
Aww he's a cutie!
yes, I totally agree!
How wonderful! We won't tell the Mister about your secret admirer.
Actually, I think he already knows! :)
Ha ha ha...he is so gorgeous :)

beautiful bird and I love your captions
Thanks Carole....couldn't resist putting words in his mouth! ha.
Has that Cardinal got an identity ring on his leg? He's been ringed?
It does look a little bit like that, doesn't it! But I don't think so. He's lived in my yard his whole life and I certainly haven't done it!
he is handsome!
Isn't he? But it's those expressions that are irresistible to me!
The Mister better step up his game! ;-)
I totally agree! Lol
