It's just terrible when the neighbors wake you up from a nap. Didn't they look over the fence first?? Adorable. But Betsy, Jill called me sobbing Mother's Day afternoon. A fox, bob cat or cougar got one of her three cats...vanished without a trace. She only lets them out and keeps and eye on them, but it happened. It was the youngest of her three. She heartbroken...I shared it with Laurie, as she lost George..but he came back. Jill and Jaya have looked everywhere. So sad...Thanks for letting Domino give me a smile. Love and hugs.
Oh dear...I am SO sorry! So she saw a fox or cougar get the cat or the cat is just missing? I would be heart broken, too. But if it's just missing, there is still hope. I've had cats disappear for 4-5 days and then show up again and wonder what all the fuss about their return is about.
I guess where they live other cats have disappeared, and were never seen. No, they didn't see any. I told her don't give up hope...but she was so distraught when she called I couldn't console her. Laurie said the same thing. Talked to her today, still no "Scrommy" . I'm praying for good news.
What veggies are you planting? In our last house my neighbour and I organised buying 60ft of garden from the farmer and 29 out of 30 of us bought it for £250. Best £250 I ever spent. We all grew our own potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, beans, carrots, onions, radishes . . . . . and fruit . . . . . rasperries they were fabulous.
Oh you say, "Don't wake the neighbours!" lol It will not be early and they will be awake already!! ROFL Turning in . . . .hope to have some nice dreams! :)
Oh, nothing near that grand! I bought tomato and pepper plants. I usually also get some spaghetti squash, jalapeno, cucumber, zucchini and some lettuces. Only a couple plants of each...I try to keep it manageable and my garden space is small. Some herbs, too..but I don't usually have much luck with them.
Hee hee - love this sequence. Yes... a cat's life is so tough. Especially a "Betsy" cat! I hate the sound of huge power mowers, no matter what time of day, but I remember especially hating them on the weekend mornings. Or chainsaws cutting down trees. Argh. I do, however, like the sound of the little push mowers clacking along. Much more civilized. I hope Domino recovers soon... poor lad. :-)
haha...oh, he recovered alright. It's warm here today and they are all sprawled out on the cool kitchen floor and under the table. Such a difference than the cold times when they roll themselves in tight little balls to sleep!
We don't get woken up with a law mower but we do have a certain neighbor that cuts his grass whenever we eat dinner...especially if we want to enjoy eating outside. Every. Single. Time. Even if we ate at a different time. One summer it got to be a joke. Crazy.
Now THIS cat has it made! Reminds me of ME!!! I do wear out my porch swing... but it's usually after dinner in the cool of the evenings. Not much time during the day. And sleeping 70% of the day?? Really??? Hmmmmmm........
I agree...porch swings are THE best...especially in the evening when all the work is done. Or with morning coffee before the work starts!
Yeah, 70% of their day! Amazing! But looking around me, I can attest to the fact that is seems to be true!
I bought my tomato and pepper plants yesterday, Don! I bought the biggest ones I could find so I'd be caught up to you! haha. Need a trip to the garden center for a few more things. Maybe I'll get everything in the ground this weekend. Need to put my gardener to work. haha.
Yes, I do the morning coffee in the swing thing too... sometimes I overstay my time though... hahaha.... I just KNOW you're going to have the best tomatoes in Ohio!! And they'll be some of the best tasting ever come harvest time. Nothing I like better than good home-grown fresh tomatoes! Yum!! And that birdcage idea is absolutely MADE for you!! I can see you adding a little birdie in there somewhere though... hiding among the plants, or swinging on a high perch above them. I'm sure you probably see some old bird cages here and there with the auctions you do. Time to start "collecting" them!! And I thought YOU were the gardener!! LOL
Haha!he looks really comfortable there and yes I notice the dogs don'like when coming to cut the grass:)
ReplyDeleteSweet shots!

DeleteAwwww gorgeous Domino!! Humans have no sense of timing! LOL! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Our neighbors choose our dinner time to cut their grass. We're more annoyed than the cats! ha.
Deleteare you taking pictures of my cat?
ReplyDeletehe looks just like that...and is domino..

and the twin mystery continues! haha.
DeleteHow rude of them to cause such a disturbance at nap time! xx
ReplyDeletedomino totally agrees with you! How dare they!
DeleteI'm telling ya, it's just awful what cats have to put up with. Sending him a hug. :)
ReplyDeleteI know...the poor dears! It's just dreadful! ha.
DeleteHow inconsiderate of the neighbours unterruoting his cat nap!
ReplyDeleteYou'd think they might 'paws' for a while :) lol
haha. And how did you like my brevity tonight? I did that just for your poor tired head. ha.
DeleteOh I see! Then you are a lot more considerate than the fella ising the lawn mower!! haha
DeleteOf course I am! I'd never run the loud mower. Ever. As in never. I think I've cut the grass once in 30 years. ha.
DeleteMine needs cutting! Must do it tomorrow - fortunately the mower is not noisy. :)
DeleteI bought plants to put in my veggie garden today! I might get out there tomorrow and get them in the ground!
DeleteYes, don't wake the neighbors! ha.

Poor guy was all comfy too
Having the bench to himself at your zoo
It's worse than the vacuum for sure
Deleteand scares both the wild and demure.

DeleteOooooh, I bet they love that cool floor. Flaked out. And in the cold they must love curling up in all your baskets - insulation!
DeleteNugget prefers to lay on the floor vent to feel the air conditioner. haha. It's hilarious.
DeleteThat's funny - I can just picture him spread over it... must freeze his little tail off sometimes!
DeleteI hate when that happens.....hahaha!
ReplyDeleteCheers!

ReplyDeleteYeah, don't feel TOO sorry for him. ha.
DeleteDon't cats take about six naps a day? It would be hard to find a time when they WEREN'T being interrupted :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the number of naps, but I've heard they sleep 70% of their 24 hour day!
