beautiful action shots!!!!! Happy Easter Sunday!!!
Happy, happy Easter! :)
That is one busy feeder!Great shots.....enjoy your day...Cheers!Linda :o)
It sure is! I hung one with thistle seed in the next tree and nobody has found it yet!
I also noticed that....it took the finches a few days to find it!I guess they smell them!
These are gorgeous. Deb
Hi Deb! Thanks! I feel like the pictures are getting better slowly but surely!
Must be a very fast shutter speed, Betsy to almost freeze wings like that.Great action shots from those speedy red arrows! Have you heard of our red arrows?Display formation planes! The finches are remarkable little birds.
Super fast shutter speed! Lots of deleted tries, but when you capture one, it's really fun!Your Red Arrows must be like our Blue Angels!
Yep! I know them!Very similar except your's are blue and our's are red . . . . . ROFOh and your planes might be a bit bigger and better! lolSeriously I love watching formation aerobatics
ROF? hahaha....you are silently rolling on the floor now? ha.
All good fun!I saw a television programme a while back about the Blue Angels - terrific skills as are our Red Arrows.A bit still from gardening today. We took out a lot of the hedge but the shredder got jammed and we got caught in a deluge and got drenched!! . . . . but we took it on the chin and nibbled our Chocolate easter Bunnies!!
We live fairly close to a major air force base and they have an annual air show that is quite spectacular! Always fun to see.You had rain? OH dear. Yes, you deserved chocolate bunnies after that!
Oh and son in law cooked us all a wonderful meal! He is a great cook, as is his two brothers - one is Head Chef at London Zoo Restaurant. Didn't their mother do a great job teaching them?
Oh, that's nice! I wish The Mister could cook. ha. He tries, though...when I let him. haha. Sounds like you had a lovely day and ate well, too! How very nice!
Getting better and better, for sure!
is this my silver? ha.
Sure is, doll!
Yes the only one call you doll NOW lol
well, he didn't say doll at first! ha.
I love your photos. If life was just a little bit different, I think I'd like to learn all that camera stuff too. Maybe one day it will settle down again, huh?
It is so much harder than I thought! Honestly, I feel lost and I'm a few weeks behind in the classes. Yes, life will settle down eventually and then you can putter with your camera all you want! :)
Not only are your little finches adorable...I see signs of "Spring"....beautiful colors. Hope you've had a good day....We are still in the process of a good day.
We're really greening up around here! Another couple of weeks and those trees will be swallowed up in blossoms. I can't wait!We did have a lovely relaxing day! Did you get your brunch at the country club?
Those are beautiful shots Betsy, your new camera is amazing!
I love their wings!Did you have a nice Easter?
Yes was quiet:).and you?

He's dive bombing the feeder!Certainly not a delicate greeter.haha.
A food hoarderMust not have got fed south of the border
Well, he found the right placeto feed his face!
You captured some great ones!
Deleted about a dozen, but got a few good ones!
You did a fine job!
It was so fun!
Awesome pictures young lady! Photography rates right up there as one of my most favorite things to do (hobbist). Keep up the good--no, GREAT--work!
Well, thanks, Don! And thanks for calling me young. haha. :)
The Finch Brothers...cute 😃 Great shots of them in action.
There are three of them! I wonder if they are triplets. ha.
Did you practise this for your workshop? Your teacher must be very proud of you! Very good shots of the Finch Brothers! Keep them for your bird-calendar...
I did! Yes, maybe for a bird calendar. That would be fun!
You did well with those, I especially like the first one.
Love these action shots - you capture the detail beautifully and it must be difficult when they are fluttering so fast. I love the second one - almost looks like a peacock unfurling his feathers!
Hi Betsy .. clever to try and certainly those shots are great ... looking forward to seeing more .. cheers Hilary
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
