    2. I also noticed that....it took the finches a few days to find it!
      I guess they smell them!

  4. Must be a very fast shutter speed, Betsy to almost freeze wings like that.
Great action shots from those speedy red arrows!

Have you heard of our red arrows?
    Display formation planes!

The finches are remarkable little birds.

    1. Super fast shutter speed! Lots of deleted tries, but when you capture one, it's really fun!

Your Red Arrows must be like our Blue Angels!

    2. Yep! I know them!
      Very similar except your's are blue and our's are red . . . . . ROF
Oh and your planes might be a bit bigger and better! lol

Seriously I love watching formation aerobatics

    4. All good fun!
I saw a television programme a while back about the Blue Angels - terrific skills as are our Red Arrows.
A bit still from gardening today. We took out a lot of the hedge but the shredder got jammed and we got caught in a deluge and got drenched!! . . . . but we took it on the chin and nibbled our Chocolate easter Bunnies!!

    5. We live fairly close to a major air force base and they have an annual air show that is quite spectacular! Always fun to see.

You had rain? OH dear. Yes, you deserved chocolate bunnies after that!

    6. Oh and son in law cooked us all a wonderful meal! He is a great cook, as is his two brothers - one is Head Chef at London Zoo Restaurant. Didn't their mother do a great job teaching them?

    7. Oh, that's nice! I wish The Mister could cook. ha. He tries, though...when I let him. haha. Sounds like you had a lovely day and ate well, too! How very nice!

    1. It is so much harder than I thought! Honestly, I feel lost and I'm a few weeks behind in the classes. Yes, life will settle down eventually and then you can putter with your camera all you want! :)

  16. Love these action shots - you capture the detail beautifully and it must be difficult when they are fluttering so fast. I love the second one - almost looks like a peacock unfurling his feathers!
