Well I do believe I am first tonight. Freeze Tag! Was not familiar with that. We used to play just tag. Am I right in saying the catcher has to catch everyone to win it? Great photos and dialogue beayutifully captured.
If the catcher touches you, you have to freeze in the position you were in while being tagged. He keeps going until everyone is frozen. But this little bird got back to home base just before being tagged. :)
Clever little bird. So logic says when it is freezing cold, like in Ohio, it is so cold that everyone freezes!!! ROFL No we did not play this at school - just tag! PObviously not cold enough LOL
Are you experiencing a normal winter or is it colder and more snowy than normal. Another good friend says it snows a lot in Maryland, about the same lattitude. Oh! meant to ask you the other day. Were the Cherokee indians living further south near Oklahoma? I think they were a very large tribe.
Another part of freeze tag is that if you are tagged and frozen you can be thawed by another person who is not frozen. So, they can come and touch you and then you are free again. And I think the last player to become frozen becomes 'It' in the next round. It's been a while since I played it! haha.
Crumbs. 'IT' must have a tremendously hard task to freeze everyone if as fast as he does so others are thawing the ones he painstainly froze. He must be 'boiling!' with rage!!! - No-one will want to be 'IT'!! ROFL RPoor little Cardinal would rather be bored I think.
It does sound like a bunch of trouble, doesn't it? Maybe because we are old and slower now. haha. I remember it being great fun when I was a girl. Hide-n-Seek was the best, though!
OLD!!! . . . . . speak for yourself!!! ROFL. There's lots of petrol still in my tank!! LOL Oh Gawd we all have a load of fun here don't we? Yes, as kids hide and Seek was OK . . . . . oh and "Knock out Ginger" and . . . . . . sometimes "Postman's Knock" LOL
Well, you may not be old, but I am! haha. At least I feel it, especially tonight. Might have to turn in early and rest my old bones. lol.... I don't think I'm familiar with your Knock games. The only Knock I know are Knock-knock jokes.
You were kidding? lol....I was about to google those games and see what they were!...and who Ginger was! lol... Alright...I'm signing off soon. Can't stop yawning! Sweet dreams!
I went to Wikipedia and looked up alternative names for freeze tag. None looked familiar. I guess I'll be sticking with frozen tag. But thanks for trying!
Hey.....you talkin' about me? Yes....the cardinals were either here or at Betsy's.....hahaha! They are very skittish Martha.....I have to sneak up on them to get their pics..... Had a few today, got a shot this am..... Enjoy your evening girls...♥️
How is it that so many people have not heard of Freeze Tag? That was a great game! You could get unfrozen if someone was quick enough to "untag" you before they were frozen.
I'm pretty sure that I would have frozen a long time ago in the winter that you have had this year, never mind standing around playing tag!! Looks as though the birds are enjoying themselves though!! xx
Laughing! That bird really does look bored! Never heard of freeze tag either. Can't figure out that third photo - is it just the angle or is birdie's back end in amongst the seeds?
My stars! My sides are splitting at that first photo! Bored indeed! I'm stealing that for my screensaver. You don't mind, do you Sunshine? That will make me laugh every time I see it! You certainly do have beautiful birds. Stunning shots and a witty dialogue. I can't wait to see what you can do with that new camera. I know you are looking forward to your class starting. I loved playing tag as a child. But Hide and Go Seek was my favorite!
Nice pictures. The only live Cardinal I have ever seen was in a cage at the zoo.
I see it's still snowing in the Colonies, it's an early Spring here, the daffodils are out, the crocuses are out, the cherry blossom is out, and the train drivers are out; for more money!
Hi Betsy - just so gorgeous, but they look cold! We had fog white-out this morning and it looked a snowy sky .. thankfully the sun came out, but it's coldish ... still so far so good this year .. and the birds are loving the weather .. cheers Hilary
Well I do believe I am first tonight.

Linda:o)
I never heard of it either. At least, not by that name.
ReplyDeleteIt could have been something similar like "Frozen Tag." Big difference, huh? Ha.
DeleteFrozen Tag? lol....
DeleteListen, Mr. Fox. It might have been called Stuck-In-The-Mud. Does that ring your bell? Not to be confused with stick-in-the-mud, mind you.
DeleteVince

DeleteYou have jogged an old memory! Very cute pics, Betsy.
ReplyDeleteWe used to play tag all the time when we were kids. So fun!
Deletehaha, freeze tag indeed! I told the kids "unless you're a polar bear you won't want to be out today!"
ReplyDeleteI was out...the wind was bitter! Whoa! Painful on my face!
DeleteI went walking... with gloves on... and my fingers were STILL cold!! Brutal! But it's March so it won't last long :) (happy dance)
DeleteThat is true! Only a few more weeks, hopefully! ha.
Deletehahaha! Love this Betsy and yes I think sometimes the birds are bored :)
ReplyDelete(we don't have time to be bored lol)

Deleteyou make me laugh thanks!!!!xxxx
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to make the birds talk. lol...
DeleteYes I love it!
DeleteI saw my first cardinal this morning, but it flew away as soon as I looked out the window.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she was playing tag with me.
You didn't have cardinals over the winter! They must have been up at Linda's. ha.
DeleteHey.....you talkin' about me?

DeleteI'm pretty sure that I would have frozen a long time ago in the winter that you have had this year, never mind standing around playing tag!! Looks as though the birds are enjoying themselves though!! xx
ReplyDeleteYes, it's been snowy and extra cold! But so beautiful, it's hard to complain!

ReplyDeleteShe's turning and her tail is pressed against the glass of the feeder. It does look a little strange, doesn't it!
DeleteIs this a double meaning on freeze tag?! lol brrrrrr.....
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! haha.
DeleteYou certainly had a lot of fun with your bird pictures today :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I did! haha. And they were having fun, too!
DeleteMy stars! My sides are splitting at that first photo! Bored indeed! I'm stealing that for my screensaver. You don't mind, do you Sunshine? That will make me laugh every time I see it! Hopefully they weren't interrupted by kitty or rover
