Because....

1939 Red Cross Nurses
source ~ tumbler.com

...you know what they say about all work and no play!
So, today I played.  All day.  No work.  No laundry.
The beds aren't made.  The only cooking I did was
frying up some eggs and bacon and pushing the
button on the toaster. ha.

I flopped on the couch and watched nascar.
And I got lost...really, really lost....in the world of Pinterest.
Sooo much fun!  Many new boards.....
And fun photos like this one, that remind me
that everyone needs to play and have fun
every once in a while!

Trouble is I could get used to it and find it hard to get going again!! lol
Like the nurses playing football - bet you played hockey at school didn't you.
I played rugby which is a great game but very rough!!

Well enjoy all your jobs tomorrow. I intend cutting the lawns and doing a lot of garden pruning and tidying up.

  13. Good for you! I realized a little earlier that my day has been eeeeeeasy, too! Went to church, came home and took a short nap, went out to lunch with my in-laws, came home and took a long nap. The time change was rough on me, I guess. No one is hungry for dinner due to having a later lunch and Mr. Dish always does the Sunday morning coffee and eggs. Nice to have a day like this now and then, isn't it?

  19. Wondered all weekend whether you were able to catch Slate and take him to the vet. Worried now that those plans didn't materialize, since no mention of him. Lynne in NC

    1. Hi Lynne! You know, we talked about Slate a lot here in the last 3 posts but it's all in the comments! I did take him and he did just great! Since he was already friendly, I just threw some catnip in the carrier and he went right in after it. haha. He cried the whole way there, of course. But then slept clear through until Sunday morning and woke up feeling fine. He napped in my lap yesterday. He's such a great kitty....the perfect mix of personality, looks and temperament. I show a picture of the new him soon. Thanks for asking about him! He was my 18th cat to take in for 'fixing' in three years. Yay....I feel like I've really accomplished something for our neighborhood!

    2. Betsy, So pleased to hear this! Smart thinking to get him into the carrier with no fuss. My 20 lb. cat used to spread eagle across the opening, and it always took at least 2 people to push him inside. As you know, neutered males tend to not roam as much, so maybe you have yourself a keeper now. Lynne

    3. Oh, your cat is a smart one! haha. They certainly know, don't they? One trip in the carrier and they never forget. I've struggled with a few, too.

Slate is curled in my lap sleeping at the moment...I think he's here to stay. :)

    I spent Saturday the same......lovely and slow......even, dare I say....LAZY!
Glad to hear about Slate....lucky guy!
Enjoy your week, Betsy.....I will be alone for most of it....boyfriend away on business....Spring cleaning time!
    Cheers!
