That happens here too. Grandma goes through a lot of tissues and sometimes they get left in her jeans pockets or drop into her laundry basket. I let the lint trap catch most of it too.
The boys don't use their pockets...ever! So this was a complete shock. He did have a nosebleed at school, so I think a teacher put that in his pocket. lol...not that he'd ever pull it out and use it, though...not when his sleeve is so convenient. haha.
ah these hapeens always to me lol The twins ALWAYS have these type of hings in their pockets and always forget check lol OMY is terrible when happens with dark clothes:)
No. I live in an apartment building with one common laundry room. And when they leave stuff in their pockets during the wash, it messes up the next few loads.
I don't think I have ever had this happen to me, but my Mom sure did with my two brothers. Always something interesting in their pockets! Not sure if it's just me... but can't seem to view different posts without leaving your blog entirely then coming back in again. Usually when you click on the header it takes you back to the most recent post, but that is not the case. Odd.
Ho, ho! I can't even guess how many times this has happened in those child rearing years! Actually it still does if I'm not diligent about doing the pocket check! Have a lovely New Year's weekend!
Hahahahahaha.... been there, done that myself! LOL..... I don't mean to laugh, but hey, it IS funny. LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, it certainly is! And a little shock when you open the lid to the washer! haha....
DeleteHey...you do laundry??? The Mr. is banned from the laundry room...too many things shrunk, so he flunked. haha.
DeleteOH NO!
ReplyDeleteAt least tissues are easier to take care of then lip balm left in a pocket.
haha....or gum!
DeleteYes, gum is pretty bad, too. We don't chew a lot of it, though.
DeleteIt's the dryer that makes gum so horrible. lol.....hasn't happened here in a long while, though.
Deleteyikes....ha...been there and done that...
ReplyDeletehave fun picking....
I didn't have to! I threw it in the dryer like that and it came out completely clean! yay!
Deleteoh no, thats a bummer for sure, gosh I hate when that happens, thats a job and a half to clean up!
ReplyDeleteIt all went into the dryer lint trap! Hurrah! lol....
DeleteThat happens here too. Grandma goes through a lot of tissues and sometimes they get left in her jeans pockets or drop into her laundry basket. I let the lint trap catch most of it too.
ReplyDeleteGum and crayons are much worse than tissues...
DeleteMuch! Thankfully, the boy that used to leave gum in his pocket is now out of the house. lol....
DeleteI am not very good about checking the pockets. You would think I had learned my lesson by now, but no! lol This has happened to me countless times!!

DeleteROFL - it's happened to us many times but boy what a lot of tissues!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a job for your remote controlled vacuum cleaner!! LOL
Now, why didn't I think of that? :)
DeleteDid you manage to get rid of all the tissues? LOL
DeleteI did! I just threw it in the dryer and it all came off! It was like magic! ha.
DeleteOH, HOW I KNOW THIS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't clean, it is now!
haha...this hasn't happened in a while. Can't help but be startled when you look in the washer. lol....
Deleteah these hapeens always to me lol
ReplyDeleteThe twins ALWAYS have these type of hings in their pockets and always forget check lol OMY
is terrible when happens with dark clothes:)
Oh my is right! I just had to laugh! Sigh!
Deleteyes exactly what I made, laugh and sigh!
DeleteI guess I better check the pockets better from now on! ha.
DeleteI'm usually pretty good at avoiding incidents like these. My neighbors... Not so much.
ReplyDeleteDo you peak in the washer at their clothes? ha.
DeleteNo. I live in an apartment building with one common laundry room. And when they leave stuff in their pockets during the wash, it messes up the next few loads.
DeleteI know where you live, silly. If you wipe out the washer before using it, that won't happen. :)
DeleteI do wipe it out when it happens. I'm just saying that they leave the mess for the next person or two. That's how I know.
DeleteIf you wipe it out, how does it mess up the next few loads?
DeleteI wipe it out. Everyone doesn't. They just put up nasty signs telling people not to leave paper in their pockets.
DeleteBeen there done that...horrible with a black sweater too. It was worse when we had kids at home.
ReplyDeleteblack sweater...oh no...that's awful! lol.....
Deletelol I will keep that in mind
ReplyDeleteBut then tissues aren't kept in pockets by my behind
Plus with a bit of ocd
Pockets are usually empty
yep...I'm blaming a teacher for this
Deletealthough they meant well, they made me hiss.
haha.
You put a great big smile on my face. I've done this a few times myself.
ReplyDeletePS: Always remember to clean the dryer vent filter with every load.
Yes, that's a great tip and I've gotten into the habit of doing it after every load....and this time it really needed it! :)

ReplyDeleteThat's happening to me, too! Blogger must have issues....again. ha.
DeleteHo, ho! I can't even guess how many times this has happened in those child rearing years! Actually it still does if I'm not diligent about doing the pocket check! Have a lovely New Year's weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad everyone can empathize. ha.
DeleteUh oh! Been there, done that. Too many times!
ReplyDeleteIt always takes you by surprise, doesn't it? :)
