No? They are small...like cherries but most people don't eat them. They are very sour. I did make jelly with them once but usually just leave them for the birds in the winter. :)
A few have turned here and there but still some green everywhere. We're further south than you where things are colorful at your zoo. But things are more colorful, shall we say, at your place, in several other ways. hahaha.
It's funny...they aren't the birds' favorite. They'll eat seed first...and these as a last resort. ha. Although flocks of Starlings swoop in for them...maybe they don't notice the feeder. ha.
Great photo! Your ears may have been burning last week as I shared the "story" of Betsy and her five men with my daughter and oldest son ... Daughter Beth and I were in Denver where my son has just moved. Huge decorating project, lots of fun.

DeleteGreat colors in your photo! I noticed today that more leaves are turning gold and red. But only splashes here and there.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we haven't peaked yet with the color. Waiting til it's really full before I go out driving with my camera. Seems a little late this year!

DeleteBeautiful photo Betsy, these are going to turn out to be incredible very soon!
ReplyDeleteyes, I do love how they change from green to yellow! So pretty!
DeleteLove the sunflower masthead. Do your crabapple trees bloom in Spring? Inotherwords, are there decorative trees vs fruit bearing?
ReplyDeleteYes, they bloom...and each bloom becomes fruit!
DeleteI have a red crab apple tree, but it is way across the driveway and far from my windows.
ReplyDeleteLove the golden berries on yours.
