The candle is perfect to have at the beginning of your list. That way you can enjoy it all Fall long. And Pear?? What a great smell. I like how Daniel calls your treasures" frugal finesse", so true!
I've never smelled a spiced pear-scented candle before... or heard of one! It fits right in with all the pears you bought and recipes you've been trying. I am glad you flip-flopped back! No more therapy needed for Suza. Seems to make more sense (to me, at least) to read from left to right. Read the main post first and then look at the side bar next. But that's just me! :-)
Oh I love it! On this trip I was given a three wick "Fresh Picked Harvest Coffee" Candle. Can't wait to light it. Wonder if it will need half/half..haha. We are now on the last leg of the trip and settled into the cabin at Lake Tahoe. There was a "heart" cloud in the sky and I thought of you. Got a picture of it, and will share it on a Sky Watch Friday. Yeah we have internet at the cabin.
Such a great idea, some of those candle holders cost a small fortune, and this one is so lovely.
p.s. I am not stalking you!! Just catching up on all the posts I have missed whilst being away for the last week - I think I might subscribe to too many blogs!
This must smell lovely! Reminds me that I must bake a tarte with pears very soon. Today it was plums again and whipped cream spiced with sugar and cinnamon.
I love candles in the fall! I think a fall hotdog roast sounds perfect. Should have put that on my list because they're having one at church tonight. Maybe I will!
Fall is my favorite season and I really love the scents of fall. Can't beat them. Not a cinnamon or clove scent person I have to look for other scents that are pleasing. I love the spicy scents of citrus. I usually fill an old crock pot with orange, apple and lemon peels and add whole allspice fill with water and enjoy. Cheap as during the holidays there are plenty of peelings to choose from. ha. I'm so looking forward to fall and all it brings.
Frugal finesse!
ReplyDeleteNice, huh! :)
DeleteYou're really sailing through that list!
ReplyDeleteOnly have til Thanksgiving! ha.

ReplyDeleteMmmm...perfect! Make sure you post a photo of it when it comes!
DeleteI really like the smell of pear candles, from a distance, I am so sensitive to smells I'm sick for days if exposed to scented candles,
ReplyDeleteIs Ohio far enough away? lol.... :)
