I'm going to take a little blog break for a few days.
I have a million things going on!
Tomorrow is Taylor's birthday!
We're also having a new refrigerator delivered tomorrow.
Yes, that was the third thing to break! Geesh!
Then the rest of the week involves a holiday, a plumber
coming to replace the faucet and a leak in a pipe, and another
man coming to install a pet door in the back!
Birthday boy asked for a red velvet cake with cream cheese
frosting. I've never made one, so today I got busy on that!
And I promised to show you a tall skinny cake under
that gigantic dome I got at the auctions. Lovely!
Have a wonderful week!
I'll be back soon!
♥
Yummy!
ReplyDeleteand beautiful
the batter and frosting were very yummy! Can't wait to cut into it! :)
DeleteThat looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteHannah's babyhood friend is headed to college out there in the fall. I think we'll have to order her something special from Betsy. :)
Oh, that sounds fun! Yep...it's right across the street from me! No problem delivering at all!
DeleteI'm taking the rest of the week off too - I'm actually taking a little break right now, from scraping wallpaper border off so I can paint tomorrow. Remind to never do anything with wallpaper again!
ReplyDeleteI love the huge dome and that cake looks scrumptious!
Oh, Mari! I wallpapered every room in our house when we built it 25 years ago. I swore I'd never paper again as I scraped over the years! ha. Just a couple rooms left with borders and paper. Best of luck..and yes, you need a break or you'll go insane. ha. Take pictures!!!
DeleteWow! Lovely! Enjoy your blog break :)

It looks like art work.
Happy Birthday Taylor!
(enjoy the break)
Breaks are good! Enjoy. And happy birthday to the handsome young man too. A pet door? Oh no!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to the amazing Taylor! So hard to believe that SO QUICKLY that darling little guy has turned in to a wonderful, handsome young man!! It goes too fast!
ReplyDeleteYOU have TONS to do Betsy! And with a wedding just around the corner there is NO END in sight! BUT...it is all wonderful! Enjoy your time and duties and tasks!!
If only my ocd was nice
ReplyDeleteAnd didn't make me pay the price
I'd take a week off too
Would be nice to do
But i carry on
Having to hit every day at my lawn
Hmm and you may get more than you bargained for
When a racoon or skunk or squrrel or possum or pig or dog or rat or snake or lizard or etc. comes through the pet door lol
You still could
Deletewith your posts scheduled, they would
continue on without you there
like when you're at a conference lair.
But don't worry, I'll still comment to you.
Have to keep my perfect streak alive, it's true.
Got the smallest pet door we could
so the bigger critters couldn't enter our wood.
Doesn't prevent a snake, though.
Hope they don't give it a go!
hahahaha. If they do, I'll have camera in hand
so you all can laugh at me all over the land. :)
Suppose i could
DeleteAt my hood
But scheduled posts are getting low too
what am i to do lol
Sure you will snap a pic as well
Make sure you don't feed the cats too much as then getting through it would be hell haha
Well, that cake resting under your new glass dome is a work of art. Beautiful picture. I know I always say this about your food photos, but -once again- this cake is too pretty to eat. However, I know you will, and so would I! Enjoy your break and Taylor's birthday.
