Weekend Random Stuff

Here's your not so subtle reminder that Monday is the
first pedi party of the season! :)
Get your toes ready and come join the party!
There's even a giveaway!
Doors will open Sunday night for any early birds.
Thanks, Christine, for sending me the poster above!

How is your weekend going?

Here's some random happenings going on here...

1.  We're working on our 'things break in threes'
with the drinking spigot on the kitchen sink breaking off
and our bed breaking earlier in the week.
What could be next???  Hope it's tiny and inexpensive. ha.

2.  I worked an auction Thursday and brought home some
wonderful things.  I'll show you later in the week
after I finish cleaning them up and taking photos.

3.  All the cats usually go outside at night but lately Jack has
been staying in.  He follows me around as I do my night time
routine of covering the bird cage, feeding the rabbit,
checking on the boys already asleep, etc.
Then he waits on the bed while I take a shower.
He's been wanting to sleep in between us with his
face burrowed into my neck.  That cat loves me, I'm telling you! ha.

4.  We have our first ripe tomato!
I'm thinking BLT's or burgers need to be eaten to celebrate!

5.  Summer camp is going quite well for the boys!  They
are still happy to go and happy coming home.  They're teacher
has called twice with thoughtful questions.  I'm totally impressed!

6.  Tonight is the Strawberry Moon!
I think it's going to be too cloudy for me to see it! :(

Hope you're having a relaxing weekend yourselves!

  1. Hey there, Betsy! And Happy Summer! Checking your "summer to do list" and I see that you haven't made homemade ice cream yet. Here's my favorite recipe! Easy and delicious, if you like chocolate!

  6. Hi Betsy - I'm watching the nails dry from afar .. should be fun .. Jack sounds a delight .. not sure about Mister appreciating the extra bod in the bed - is that why the bed broke? Or perhaps the weight of the nail varnish was just too much??!! Hope it's a third little thing that goes .. so frustrating and as you say expensive ..

Strawberry moon - lovely thought with its folklore and I hope you did get to see it .. cheers Hilary

  7. This may seem like an odd thing to ask, but........ How on earth did you potty train a rabbit?!

    1. Hi Amber! Well, he's litter box trained! It only took two days...he took to it naturally, just like a cat would. He has his own spot, btw....doesn't share with the kitties. :)

    2. p.s....and we don't use kitty litter for him...they like their own kind from the pet store, or scraps of newspaper...stuff like that.
