I'm Not the Only Zookeeper

Ah, I love this!

I may have a kitten that loves to sleep on top of the refrigerator.

I may have a rabbit running loose in the house, playing
Hide-N-Seek with cats, while parakeets sing in the background.

I may have cats that walk on the roof!

And I may even leave the back door open a crack so
stray cats can come inside and help themselves to
the water bowl and cat chow in the kitchen!

But at least I don't have chickens "cruising through
the dining room" as the homeowner says!

  1. The cats would think that was just ducky
No need to go to kentucky
    Dinner is already served up
Wonder it wasn't eaten by the pup

    1. Yeah, not sure it would be so grand
      to strut into kitty land.
She said the dog didn't mind at all
if chickens walked down the hall! ha.

    2. haha I know some that would ring its neck
      Before it could even peck

    3. neck breaking seems to be the method of choice
of ending the life of prey so moist.
      At least here...
      I've seen it I fear!

  3. My eyes are a bit wacko today. For a second I thought you had a Rabbi running loose in the house... Now that would be interesting, especially if he was playing hide and seek with the cats. :)

Who would let a chicken wander around INSIDE their beautiful house?
    Chicken poop is just wrong!!!

  8. Hi Betsy! I've been meaning to introduce myself for a while and just never for around to it! I just wanted to say I read your blog often and find your positive attitude and knack for finding something to laugh about really inspiring! I enjoy reading. You gave a teenager that was going through depression some hope.
    Happy Summer!

  9. Ugh on the chicken cruising through the house...the poop alone would be too much. Outside would be fine for me.
