We had such a fun day yesterday with both Taylor and Lauren
graduating from Cedarville University.
The boys were great through the entire ceremony, with
only a few loud yawns from Harry. :)
We had great seats and a nice view of the platform and the jumbotron.
6000 in attendance and 760 graduates!
Since Taylor and Lauren were both business majors and
last names beginning with A and B, they were only 3 names apart!
And that made it convenient to capture both on the jumbotron at the
same time. Lauren just receiving her diploma and Taylor
waiting for his turn coming up.
It was perfect weather..nice for hugs and photos outside afterwards.
...and family portraits. :)
Had to laugh at that other family in the background.
They are in a lot of my shots. Their favorite
pose with with someone on piggy back.
And they all posed that way in various family
member combinations. lol....
And The Mister, standing on the ledge.
I think he's trying to be as tall as his son. haha.
Nice try. :)
The Mister and I are alumni here and during the ceremony
I noticed that I graduated in 1983 and
Taylor's graduation, 2013, is exactly 30 years later!
Cute couple....what an exciting year for them!
The lovely Lauren. :)
Congratulations to them!
And to us...tuition payments are over! yay!
♥
Wow this is huge Betsy, congratulations to both Taylor and Lauren on their graduation, they seem like such a lovely couple and they both really deserved this as does everybody who works hard to graduate in these kinds of things. Plus you guys had the opportunity for a nice day out with each other as well, the family photo is my favourite, everybody's just so happy and it's just awesome to see. Once again congratulations to the pair of them

ReplyDeleteThere at the end of at your bay
Looks like quite the ceremony too
And plenty of sunshine in view
The ledge is kinda noticeable too
Put if you trim off the bottom, it will go fro view haha
haha...$20 grand a year
Deleteis done biting us in the rear!
Yep, could have cropped the ledge
but that gives him a 7 foot edge!
haha.
Be nice to have that in your pocket once more
DeleteOurs is creeping up that high a year at our shore
Glad I got out when I did
Any more plastic and I'd flip my lid lol
Congratulations to Taylor and Lauren! What and accomplishment and more excitement ahead!

DeleteCongratulations to Taylor and Lauren and thanks for sharing your family pictures! I do number games, too. I realized the other day that my daughter is getting married at the age of 26, 26 years after I got married at the age of 26. How weird is that?

Jane
Yes, very weird...but cool! And, to keep my number 30 going, Taylor was born the year I turned 30! ha.

We actually ran off (the ladies did) to a wedding shower for Lauren! We wanted to have one while her mom, nana and sister in law were in town. But for graduation we all went out to dinner to celebrate the night before. Next Saturday, we're having a graduation open house for all four of our boys. The triplet's graduation is the 25th! haha...we're just celebrating all month!

DeleteSplendid. So glad that the triplets were part of the festivities. Congrats to Taylor and Lauren, but I think graduation day is even more meaningful for the parents than for the graduates themselves. So big congratulations to you and The Mister!
ReplyDeletethank you...and yes I think you're right...Taylor really didn't care about walking in cap and gown but it meant a lot to us! The triplets did great...was so glad!

DeleteWe had a houseful of guests as Bob's room mate's son graduated! WHAT FUN! Congrats to all of you!!!!!! SO hard to believe - - time flies...seems like yesterday Taylor and Nate were in my back yard sand box!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! We recognized quite a few kids as being children of our classmates! So fun...but hard to believe at the same time!
DeleteCongratulations again to both of them. It looks like everyone had an amazing day and so glad the boys got to enjoy it as best as they can. Sometimes life is like that. They can behave and then not behave, believe me the wee wittle ones do the same thing. So now we have the wedding and you know that you are going to just blink and it will be here. Looking forward to seeing the pictures from that day. The boys looked so handsome and I can imagine they will at the wedding too. I also think Taylor looks like the male version of you but I also see the boys look a lot like their Mom and maybe just a touch more like their Dad. A good looking family.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for their life ahead of them. And congrats on the tuition payments ending. Was thinking of the old Alka Seltzer commercial about "Oh what a relief it is!"
God bless.
thanks, Sherry! The boys were troopers and really good...they are growing and maturing very well! :)
DeleteI'll pass along your good wishes to the 'big kids' as I call them. haha. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Betsy .. loved, loved these - I'm so happy for you all - general happiness can be seen all around .. big hugs and such a great summer ahead ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYour son is EXTREMELY handsome. I had to just get that out there. Very good looking and he seems to get his good looks from his beautiful mamma. Congratulations on your son's graduation. That is huge. I know, because I am at the very beginning of the first year of tuition payments. I had to laugh out loud at your final sentences "And the tuition payments are over...yay!" I don't know who will be jumping up and down the most on that final tuition payment day!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Taylor and Lauren. Looks like it was fabulous day for everybody. Great photos to treasure.
