I think you're right! It's already beginning to turn cloudy! Rain and peonies do not do well together..haha...that always happens! Glad I got a photo before they lay on the ground!
Nope, the stress and drama of school took a toll and today I couldn't think to save my soul. No title and no text Just a pretty picture, as I said, "what the heck!". lol....
They are just about the prettiest and best smelling flower ever . . . so sad that they don't last longer. My honeysuckle vine is blooming and our backyard smells heavenly. I'm sure that my neighbors are enjoying it, too :) Have a wonderful week, Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Oh, isn't that the truth! But more than one! haha. I learned that the hard way the first time I brought in a huge armful for a bouquet. I had ant (those big ones!) all over the dining room table! I wonder what the attraction is...do you know?
I love how big and fluffy they are! But once it rains, they are ruined! :( The violets are doing very well...they love that shady spot! Have your leaves fallen yet or do you still have color?
Your peonies are beautiful! Years ago a gentleman I worked for in an office environment brought in a huge vase full of peonies from one of his gardens and placed them on my desk. They were gorgeous and smelled wonderful but I didn't have the heart to tell him that they were full of ants. I don't think I got anything done that day other than killing ants and trying to keep them from crawling all over me...lol! I also love your new header -- very pretty!
Your peonies are beautiful! Ours are just getting ready to open and they are the same color as yours here. Last year I dried the petals after they were past their prime and made potpourri. They are still the same vibrant pink now as they were in bloom. I love your violets in your header picture!
They are very pretty along with the purple flowers. Purple and pink are my two favorite colors for flowers. My geraniums are growing quite well except the gardeners cut a bunch of them down and the hydrangeas are just starting to bloom. I try to keep mine outside because they last longer and then everyone can enjoy them.
Loving the peonies - and the violets. The only trouble with peonies is that here they tend to get bashed in the spring winds and don't last long. Amazing colours though. Your garden must be a picture.
Looks like you are having a beautiful day. But if our weather is any indication, a storm is heading your way.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right! It's already beginning to turn cloudy! Rain and peonies do not do well together..haha...that always happens! Glad I got a photo before they lay on the ground!

Your blogging sister, Connie :)
your honeysuckle sounds wonderful and I have no doubt the neighbors love it, too!
DeleteOooh, I love peonies! I think they're almost prettier than roses. My snowball bushes are blooming in my yard.
ReplyDeleteI agree...prettier than roses! I love how huge they get! Our neighbor has a snowball bush...they are beautiful!
DeleteYay! Such a pretty pink....
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? Kind of like magenta...my favorite crayola crayon in kindergarten. lol....
DeleteIf you look carefully you will see that each flower has it's own ant.
ReplyDeleteOh, isn't that the truth! But more than one! haha. I learned that the hard way the first time I brought in a huge armful for a bouquet. I had ant (those big ones!) all over the dining room table! I wonder what the attraction is...do you know?
DeleteLUCKY YOU! Mine started to bloom, then (just like every years) they got knocked over by the wind and rain.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting rain tonight! Isn't that too bad? It happens every year!
DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWish they lasted longer!
DeleteBeautiful lush flowers. And I love your new profile picture...that so cute.

I love your violets in your header picture!
Well, that is good to know...I might have to try drying some!
DeleteJust took photos of these myself and am cropping them. Spring is so fun for photos.
ReplyDeleteThat is very true! I love how things bloom in stages so there is always something new showing off! :)
DeleteThey are very pretty along with the purple flowers. Purple and pink are my two favorite colors for flowers. ReplyDeleteGod bless.
You'll have to post pictures of your hydrangeas! I'd love to see them!
DeleteYES! Gorgeous! and the roses too!!
ReplyDeleteMy roses never do well...some kind of fungus gets them as soon as the leaves sprout! :(
DeleteLoving the peonies - and the violets. The only trouble with peonies is that here they tend to get bashed in the spring winds and don't last long. Amazing colours though. Your garden must be a picture.
ReplyDeleteit's the rain that gets them here...they get driven into the mud. So sad!
