T Is For "Top It"

It's usually a tacky thing to do.  You know the type...someone
tells about something they did or have and another person
has to out-do or 'top' their story or purchase or experience.

But I will admit that when I saw the back of this van in
the grocery parking lot today, I laughed and thought to myself
that I could indeed top that.  So they have 5 kids, 3 dogs
and 2 cats!  I have 4 kids, 15 cats, 2 parakeets and 1 rabbit!
So there!  lol....

But I don't think I'd ever put that many little character stickers
on the back of my Jeep.

Ok...no more tackiness. Promise. ha.

On a more serious note...did you know that authorities advise
against these stickers if they have your child's names on them?
Child predators can use a child's name to help lure them away.
They seem more credible to a child if someone knows their
name and says,"Mom sent me to pick you up", or whatever.
Just a thought there...you don't want to make it easier
or put your child in any danger!
So there you go...silly to serious all in one post. ha.

    1. Hmmm as far as the numbers go
      You win at your show
      But mass wise
      There may be ties
For if the dogs are great dane size
All fifteen cats would just look like flies haha
And never knew that about the predator a-holes
Need to whack them upside the head with flag poles

  2. Wow...your stickers would take up a lot of space on your window. Might block your vision : )
Good suggestion about the names. You can never be too careful.

  3. This is cute. People might raise and eyebrow over the cats. I should talk...and I'm one upping you (!), I once had 15 birds!! I used to raise and hand feed cockatiels. And between the squawking and feather, I raised a lot of eyebrows!

    1. haha...oh my! That is a lot of birds! I can't believe how loud my two are! Now 15 bird stickers might cause some to crash their cars from craning their necks to count them! haha...well, 15 cat stickers would do that, too! Maybe we better not do it. I will say that cockatiels are adorable! I can see how raising them would be fun!

  5. I think those stickers are cute, but the same thought came to my mind about the weirdos out there knowing how many kiddos, and what their names are. Just for the record I have more kids, but less animals than the van pictured. Well, unless I had a sticker for every chicken we own. That would get a little silly tho. :)

    1. If Blondie can have a sticker for every cockatiel, then you can have one for every chicken. :)

  11. It's funny that you can top that Betsy. Honestly I don't think it's the same thing since half of the time when people have to be better than somebody else they'll make it up, yours is actually true and quite something!

  13. I've known plenty of toppers in my time, most of them annoying. But the best was my friend Eddie, now deceased. I swear, if you told him you'd taken a trip to the moon, he'd tell you he'd just taken a trip to Mars!

    1. Hi Betsy,

I see those stickers all the time and a fair amount of them have the names on them too. I sometimes think one does not need to have a lot of intelligence to be a parent. I was thinking about what stickers I would have to put up, let's see 2 daughters, 2 SIL'S, 12 grandchildren, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 fish. And I still would not have more than you. But in all my years of driving I have never put a sticker on my car except a parking sticker and I usually got a plackard to put on the dashboard. When stickers get old and faded, they just look downright ugly and bring down the value of one's car. The only one I have ever been tempted to put on is the one that says, "If you can read this then you are too close!" But then I knew it would fade in our hot sun and would be useless.

Love the ladies on the ride, especially the one with her hat inbetween her legs. I think she has been on that ride before.

      God bless.
