Yep! Whether you believe in karma or reaping what you sow, it comes back to you...just like the vindictive evil stuff will, too! But you're always kind! I know that for a fact. :)
Dear Betsy, I love your photo of the fluffy litle birdie! And I have always loved to read Henry James and agree with his words. Have a nice Sunday Christel
DEar Betsy I love this quote so much! always think be kind is really important and the life is better to all LOL Im reading a Henry james Book now! :) And of course I love this little bird in snow is so cute, and you always are kind Betsy!
I have never read his book, but I'm sure it is a good one. Our snow is gone! It's almost 50F degrees here! And Gloria, you are one of the kindest people I know...truly!
ah you are so sweet betsy and have to say I always think in you like a lovely sister, I always tell to my mom and she thinks you are amazing, and is true, not matter what Pat tell me late LOL
Being kind is very important and always smile at people too. These are my motto's of which I try to live by. I may not always succeed but I try, I can say that there have been a few times when doing this has made a difference in someone's life. I think it has been three times that because I took the time to talk to someone who just seemed in need and I mean I spent more than a few minutes with total strangers, I basically talked to them until they seemed like they did not need it anymore. And each time when I was saying goodby to them and that I had enjoyed talking to them they told me that they had planned to commit suicide because they felt like no one cared. And just by my giving them some of my time they felt like at least there were people who cared. One lady thought I was an Angel sent by God. I cried with her and just said that he probably put me in the right place at the right time was all. I cannot tell you how good that made me feel but at the same time sad for the person because who knew what happened next week when I wasn't there to talk to them. But hopefully from there they found others to talk to.
And with reading your post I thought of that saying where someone say, "You sir are a kind sir." Cannot remember which movie it goes to. And so I will modify it a bit to say, "You, Lady are a kind Lady." I think that is how most of us would describe you. And maybe add a Loving Lady in there too. And unselfish, along with a few dozen more. I do mot think we could put a bad word in there. Just a wonderful person. Just ask your family.
Wow...I'm so glad you shared this. Yes, it's always important to be kind...you never know what your actions will do to people...kind or otherwise. Love the stories of how your kindness actually made a difference between life and death of some desperate people. An angel indeed, Sherry. I'm sure that ended up to be a real blessing to you in return. I try to talk to people, too..and smile at them. I spent several minutes with an elderly lady in the tomato sauce isle the other day. She acted like it made her day...and giving up a few minutes to listen and chat was so easy to give. And like I said before...good or bad...it always comes back to us. People waste too much time trying to be hurtful, jealous, or just plain mean....and they won't feel any better for it either. I'll have to google that quote from the movies and see if I can find it. :)
Thanks so much for your visit and following, I am now following you as well. I think most of my bird photos go on my dailydiarydps while the other one is generally more about France and the Charente.
Love this snowy little bird and the words are so very, very true. Have a good week, see you Diane
