Clifton Rd. Clifton, Ohio
Sleeping, Silent, Sepia
We had school cancelled due to ice this morning and
it was crunchy under my boots when I went out to
fill the bird feeders.
I think it was the grey sky that made the
sepia world of winter even more pronounced today!
It's lovely! I know most don't like winter, but
I enjoy seeing the earth asleep for these months.
It's quiet and restful and makes me feel that way, too!
Just in time for the weekend!
Hope yours is quiet and lovely, too!
(well, mine won't be totally quiet. Sunday is the
Daytona 500, after all! ha.)
♥
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Isn't it? I had to snap a photo as I drove by!
DeleteThis is a beautiful image Betsy! I love farms and farmers! : ). I am visiting your blog tonight via my friend Miss Wanda's blog. So nice to meet you. I love your blog title. Your five men. I just have 2 and they just about do me in! : )
ReplyDeleteWell, hello! I'm glad you came via Wanda! You know, I feel like I'm about done in some times! lol....
DeleteHa, I beat Pat. Lol
ReplyDeleteBut it is a beautiful sight that I will not find out here.
Oh and I just wrote about being a Pinaholic, lol, hope you like it.
Stay warm, have a wonderful weekend.
God bless.
Yes, you were first!
DeletePat will let out a curse!
lol.
Pfft is all I will say
DeleteWent to bed early at my bay
Hi Betsy..love your look of winter...It makes Spring even more colorful. I'm so glad Becky, from Life with Kaishon came by to visit. She is a wonderful photographer, and I love the pictures she shares. and or son's hair..HaHa. It's great.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad she stopped by, too! I'll have to pay her a visit!
DeleteI meant to say HER son's hair!
ReplyDeleteI had a rather quiet day. Did some laundry, went to feed and talk to a friend's dog, and took the road along the lake to Webster and did my shopping today instead of waiting until tomorrow. It's gray here too, but the lake was seafoam green. I didn't take pictures though. I like when the sleeping world is wrapped up in a white blanket. :)
ReplyDeletesleeping world wrapped in a white blanket....love that imagery! I wish I had a lake to see, too!
Deletehey we had school cancelled due to ice today as well...smiles...had fun with my boys all day.....inside....
ReplyDeletehaha...and probably every school between you and me! The rain washed away our snow before it turned to sleet, though! :(
DeleteLook lovely Betsy yes you have had a really cold time!
ReplyDeleteIt's very cold but beautiful!
DeleteRemember the picture I show yesterday? after this here rain!! LOL here is really crazy we go out and walk in the rain, the kids loved!:)
DeleteI know we are crazy (a little) xo
Love the photo. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteyou, too! We have sun today! ha.
DeleteWhat a beautiful, winter shot. Have a geat weekend. I'm off to visit the grandchildren!
ReplyDeletewell, then I know you'll have a lovely weekend! Enjoy!
Deletewonderful nice weekend.
ReplyDeletethanks...love the avatar!
DeleteI can see your point, Betsy, though I have to say I live winter in Australia or South Africa (or anywhere down south) a bit more. Just a bit. A huge bit. ;)
ReplyDeletenot further north? haha.
DeleteI agree with the guy that is blue
ReplyDeleteWinter wouldn't make me grumpy at my zoo
If it was like down south
Then there would be no snow and one less reason to run my mouth haha
But still a million more
So will never shut up at my shore
bed early you say?
Deleteare you getting old at your bay?
I too love the changing seasons but I could do with a bit more sunshine cheer. To wake up to a dull day every day day in and day out is a bit saddening.
ReplyDeleteThe MIster feels like you...he needs sunshine! the grey days make me just as happy. I think I'm the weird one. lol....
DeleteI enjoy winter too with its stillness. LadyCat and I are having a nice quiet weekend and enjoying our home. We are having meatloaf, baked potatoes and carrots. You need to race in the Dayton 500!!! I plan to sit back and watch as much of the Oscars as I can before falling to sleep...
ReplyDeleteI'm in your camp. I love the winter. I feel no pressure to get outsdie and be productive. I would relish this scene.
