Fresher Fridays

Bet you can't guess which is the old vacuum rolling brush
and which is the fresh one!

Seriously!  Can you believe that?
I swear we don't vacuum gravel parking lots,
but the vacuum is many years old.
We have an Oreck...wonderful vacuum!
When it wasn't working like it used to we
looked underneath and noticed we needed a
new roller. When the new one came,
we saw how different the bristles are now.
Maybe they upgraded them to last longer.
We vacuum daily around here..have since the
triplets were born.  So, our vacuum really
gets a workout!

Ah...much better. Fresher! :)
Just keeping it real, friends. lol...
Every zoo needs a quality running vacuum! haha.

  7. That's the way my old one looked...After Aunt Trula passed away, her daughter ask if we needed a good vacuum. Of course my answer was yes. So we have a nice Kenmore Progressive and it works really great. I love it because it was Aunt Trula's and because it had made my housework much easier.

  9. The old one definitely deserves the 'brush off!' LOL Wonder wherther that is where the term came from. It beats as it sweeps as it cleans, is that right? It's amazing just how robust your carpets are Betsy. No prize for guessing who does the vacuuming in this house! Aren't I a good boy? LOL

    1. haha...well, dear Eddie...if you bleed all of the carpets, you should have to do the vacuuming, I think! LOL! :)

  12. How coincidental, Betsy. I have two Orecks and I think I have killed both of them! Mine smelled like it was burning up the other day, so Michael went down to the dreaded basement and brought my mom's Oreck up and I put a new bag in and when I turned it on it smelled like burning rubber. Any ideas what might be the problem or am I just an Oreck killer?

  13. Oh, great I'll do that. I think it might be the belt too. thank you oh great vacuum master!

  14. Oh, vacuuming... I so dislike it! Noise and dust, nervous dogs... but not doing it is worse, the dust and doghair form little colonies.

  17. Hmmmm, maybe I should go look at mine. And here I just thought the dog hair had Velcro attached to it.

  18. The new brush roller is quite an improvement! I suspect are you seeing a big difference as you vacuum. Vacuuming is probably my least favorite household chore; I have to force myself to do it. The pugs and the cats totally freak out when they see it come out of the closet. Yet, I am glad I have it as there is way too much pet fur around here!

    1. I'm in the spring cleaning mood, so this comes at the perfect time for me. We used to have a cat that liked to pick fights with the vacuum and he'd stand on his back legs and growl at it. lol....

  19. Was just reading Janice, and realized Molly could care less, and sometimes I have to tell her to move out of my way. HaHa.

    1. Some pets are like that. I once saw a clip on America's Funniest Home Videos where they took the brush attachment and vacuumed their cat all over. She loved it. Hilarious.

    1. Oh, no...it's a coffee creamer I bought at the grocery...it's coconut flavored. I didn't have to make it..just drink it! Yum!

  23. Can I have the old one? It looks in better condition than mine. I wore mine out sweeping up the breadcrumbs today. (private joke)

    1. haha..Oh, I laughed out loud! Next time, eat your bread outside so the birds can have the crumbs. :)

    2. The birds won't eat my bread. I think they are trying to tell me something.

    3. Take it as a compliment! That means it's not 'duck' bread! hahaha.

  24. It's sounds like Oreck needs to know how well their products hold up.
