I guess so! Years ago we had a lovely female cat that brought me mice regularly if she could make it in the house with them, she would put them on my pillow, she was just making sure I was fed, bless her heart,
on your pillow....LOL! Oh, that is SO funny. We have a real one brought in occasionally. The last time that happened I noticed because it was a different color than the toys...and it was missing it's head. Oh dear. The cats were not happy when I took it away.
I've had to dispose of a few between me and you. But I scoop them up with a tissue so touching my skin isn't an issue. Then wash up really well so my hands smell swell. hahaha
Well, at least they are just toys. I stepped on something one morning in my bedroom. I picked my foot up rather quickly and when I went back to take a closer look, I found a mouse head. No body, just a head. Blech!
hahaha...oh, it is MOST unpleasant when that happens. I wondered what all the commotion was under the sofa one time and shooed them away and got down to take a look...it was a bird. ugh.
I know exactly what you mean Betsy! Even worse is when I spy an object that I think is a cat toy and when I try to pick it up I find out it is a hairball...ick!
haha...oh, that hasn't happened to me in a very long time. Stepping on those in your bare feet first thing in the morning is the worst. Our two cats from years ago used to do that to us...but this new group doesn't...maybe they leave them outside which is fine by me!
LOL.....I had to go back and look at the image hard to see what you were talking about and when I did I laughed out loud. Living out in the country and surrounded by the woods and pastures and fields, I beg my husband to make sure all doors are shut at all times and never leave one of his belts on the floor...... get it? :)

Deletei would probably jump out of my slippers if I saw that first thing in the morning before I had my coffee!
ReplyDeleteMary x
I think I've been desensitized by 25 years of pets. Now I just squint and say, "Oh, is that real?" hahaha.
DeleteI've had to jump a few times here too. They can look pretty intimidating in the morning!
ReplyDeletehaha...and it's always a relief when you realize it's just a toy!
Deletehahahaha...at least they did not leave you a dead one as a surprise...
ReplyDeletelol...no, not this time!
DeleteI had to stare at that a bit.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I could buy the neon colored ones to prevent such scares. lol....
