"Jack Sprat could eat no fat
His wife could eat no lean.
And so betwixt the two of them
They licked the platter clean!"
This old English nursery rhyme from the 1600's
came to my mind as I saw the skinny Starling
dining near the chubby one!
And would you just look at the expression on
that skinny one's face?
Who says birds don't have personality? LOL!
♥
he looks severe. lol, and not overly pleased with the photo shoot
ReplyDeleteVery sly looking, don't you think? haha...cracked me up!
DeleteI hung my suet out there today and immediately had a brown wren. They don't eat seed, you know, but apparently eat suet! ha.
Deleteoh cool! I wonder if you'll get other birds because of it? I've been really enjoying the bluebirds the last few days! Beautiful!
DeleteThe nuthatches, chickadees and woodpecker really enjoyed, it, too...but that is no surprise.
DeleteI want bluebirds! I wonder if the news travels by word-of-mouth or if they smell it?
I've wondered the same thing. How do they know it's here? I'm just glad they found it again! :)
DeleteIt did smell like peanut butter cookies! :)
DeleteFunny you should mention that. Anthony always asks if it would be fit for us to eat? ha, I usually tell him yes if we'd be desperate! :)
DeleteI did taste just a pinch of it.....not exactly a cookie, no. hahaha.
Deletelol, too funny! like I said, if we'd be desperate! :)
DeleteI wonder why they would be so different????
ReplyDeleteUsually birds are identical...
Great shots, Betsy
I did another bird post as well...
Great minds, eh???
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I don't know, but that skinny one cracks me up!
DeletePretty funny. Nice captures!
ReplyDeleteThey do pose well, don't they? :)
DeleteOh, my...that poor skinny guy!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he'll stick around and fatten up!
DeleteI hope so. You certainly have plenty of treats around for him to enjoy.
Deletehaha...too funny...it does go with the nursery rhyme...nice markings on them too...my wife will eat no fat...
ReplyDeleteand yeah the sleep over went well...went to bed at 2 am...he was first up at 830 am and had to wait an hour for the next to wake up...ha...and he ate sausage links (which he never eats at home) and now thinks they are manna from heaven...chuckles...
yeah..we women try not to...once on the lips, you know. haha.
DeleteHey, 2am isn't too bad! And now we have sausage links on the grocery list? Is this the boy that only eats pancakes? Hope so...cuz now you have another choice! ha.
Nice and amazing shot. and yes I think he is posing LOL
ReplyDeleteand such a sneaky little thing! he reminds me of a lizard! haha.
Deletehe is beauty:)
Deleteyes, and so shiny! But your babies are cuter!
DeleteI hope her mom feed them! I will tryto see them how are!
Deletehaha posing oh so great
ReplyDeleteNot sure on his fate
Thinking what the hell
Or how being skinny is swell
Maybe that is what he's doing
Deleteposing and doing the runway thing
thinking what a super model he is
and that thin is how to be in the biz.
hahaha.
haha that could be the case
DeleteLet's hope he doesn't go all supermodel and upchuck at your place haha
Great shots!
ReplyDeletethanks, tut!
DeleteSO clever to snap these wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteMary x

DeleteI look more like the photo on the right. My husband eats and eats, but seems to absorb no calories. Sometimes, life is not fair! Beautiful photos again!
ReplyDeleteisn't that usually how it works? ha. we're cursed, I tell ya! haha.
