A New Restaurant In Town

Sometimes when a new restaurant comes to the neighborhood,
it takes a little while for business to get going!
Everyone likes their old hangout where they are sure of
the service and quality of the food!

The new place can sit empty....

..while everyone stays where they feel comfortable!
But then something begins to happen!

Prospective new customers become curious!

And a few brave souls take a chance!

Onlookers watch to see the initial reactions!

And before you know it, hungry patrons are
flying in from every where!

  2. Ain't that the truth!
Any bird who ventures to your restaurant is brave. I'm glad is doesn't appear that they have become the main course for patrons of another kind.

    1. The birds seem to be more plentiful than ever before! They must be brave ones! The cats do try, though, and love to climb up in the tree after them. 99% of the time, the birds escape. ha.

  6. You do get great shots of the birds...
I can't put the seed out like that....due to that rascally red squirrel...

We got a lot of yardwork FINALLY today, and I enjoyed the company of chickadees, nuthatch and woodpecker...

  13. You’re very clever – love this post! This could be a wee novella. Always takes someone to dare to be the first!

    First one, then two
    The birdies they flew
    Decisions to make
    Which seeds best to take?

    The first place was great
    They filled up their plate
    The second divine
Out of ten, it’s a nine!

    They flapped and twittered
Though the wind it was bitter
    From goldfinch to grouse
    They loved Betsy’s house!
