We are so far north that it's better to buy them aready grown with buds on them. One already ahs a little green tomato! :) Our harvesting season is really short and almost into the fall here. This gives me a little head start!
How nice for them to keep you company..and a banana is a good snack if you get hungry. HaHa. I did a lot of errands today too. Cleaned out the flowerbed by the bird bath and want to put some colorful ground cover around the base. I have a lot to do in the backyard before Father's Day BBQ so I'm doing it like eating an elephant...one bite (flowerbed) at a time!!!!
Oh, it's going to be beautiful...well, it already is, but freshening up everything will make it gorgeous! Love the idea of flowers around the bird bath!
who needs a pickup when you have empty front seat?! LOL - wow! those things are half grown already! the kids had off from school today so I kept two of the boys busy mulching the garden things, cutting the grass, and doing other odd jobs. By this afternoon I think they were wishing they were in school :) haha
I got those at Sams Club. Some already had little green tomatoes about the size of marbles. :) I bought them there last year and they did really well. But my jeep was already full when I bought them..lol...but I managed to squeeze 4 plants in and around me.
Nice day to be off of school. Another gorgeous day. Oh my.
It was gorgeous here as well. Both schools are over next week! YES!! I always feel sorry for them in the Spring when the weather is so beautiful to still be in school. They can hardly wait!
Oh how fun! Our first day of summer is June 1st, so we have 2 more weeks! I wish this weather would last for months...it's wonderful! I looked for pussy willows today but didn't see any! :( But I still need to go to the garden center...I haven't bought any flowers yet! I'm too swamped in cookies! ha.
I loved it, too...just made me smile. :) It really is the little things. ha. And I talked to them as I drove...told them they were going to the zoo! hahaha. and they were very dry so I told them I'd give them a good long drink when we got there. Listen to me....I really need to get out more often. lol! :)
I know!! Sure would be nice if from April-June the months would repeat themselves and only then would we move on to the hot muggy stuff! I guess we'll just have to make sure we don't miss any while it lasts! :)
thanks, dear. Hope you have a nice day! Need to give my tomato plants a drink today! ;) Maybe I can get The Mister to plant them in the garden for me this weekend!
so cute! when we were leaving my uncle's yesterday, he really liked my midsize SUV. He said he needed one so he could drive around his many lady friends and put all their walkers in the back. What a guy.
You mean your whole car doesn't look like that? Mine does, lol! Son gigs me about going every where when I go out, to get what I need. Like I tell him, I do everything I can while I'm out. I don't want to go back for a short trip. For gas and for time, I want to get it all done.
haha, I can see through the passenger window. When I used to work in phone book distribution, you should have seen some of the cars. People would load those cars to the point of turning SUV's into lowriders, lol I really am amazed that there really never was any accidents, I'd sit there in the office totally expecting one of the carriers got in a crash. I need my vision though, can't even take my parents car, as they've got a car seat in the back, totally freaks me out. If my little niece saw this post she'd start screaming NANA NANA, that girl has a banana addiction and bad lol
Oh, that is too funny...cars loaded down with phone books obstructing the driver's view. lol. I got a jeep commander a couple of years ago and the view has a couple of blind spots...really took some getting used to. But as you can see, things in the front seat don't bother this driver. lol.
You sure let the buying power shower As you made a buying tower In your front seat Can only imagine the back had another treat Or a ton As you went about your run
At least you left room for you!
ReplyDeleteBarely! :)

DeleteNice to see this happens in someone else's vehicle!
ReplyDeletehaha...and when it gets to this point, you know it's time to go home! Took me the rest of the afternoon to unload! haha.
DeleteLOL! I've seen this scene a few times... now, I'm a little worried that I've traded in my big ole SUV for a Mini Cooper! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is right! What will you do?? HAHA

DeleteYikes! I think I need to give my strawberry plants a drink too!
haha...oh, that is so true...they were quiet polite and had the best manners. They didn't move a leave and sat so nicely. lol.
DeleteI know!! Sure would be nice if from April-June the months would repeat themselves and only then would we move on to the hot muggy stuff! I guess we'll just have to make sure we don't miss any while it lasts! :)
ReplyDeleteI know...enjoy it now! You're going to have your yard all done before I even start! lol!
DeleteWell I have to stay at it because I want to have my husbands 40th birthday bash here in a few weeks. :)
DeleteOh, that is some great incentive! It's going to look lovely!
DeleteI have a seven-seater SUV and still have to use the front seat to carry shopping home....not good :)
ReplyDeleteThose are some healthy tomato plants !
~Jo
yep...I can totally relate! hahaha. At least we know there is room!
DeleteCan't wait to get those plants in the ground! :)
:-)

Thanks, Pierre....you enjoy yours, too! Lovely photograph today on your blog! :)

Yes, it does! That was the whole point...the jeep was so full, the plant had to sit up front with me! :)
DeleteI like the look of that shopping, oh by the way Betsy we have Norton, it still got through! So be careful,
ReplyDeleteNo kidding?! Well, that is just terrible! I'm glad you weren't contagious, since I love to visit you! ha.
