Deletevery cute drawing, Betsy! Love your flashback photos!:) Your boys might not talk with words but their happy expressions tell a wonderful story all the same! :) ♥ that!
ReplyDeletethanks, Martha...I've been having fun posting them. That one just makes me laugh! :)
DeleteLove the chickadees! Very cute.
ReplyDeleteSo do you do that, Silver? Eat an apple a day? :)
DeleteI have to be careful. Fruit contains sugar...
Deletelovely chickadees and good advice!!!
ReplyDeletethanks laurie, dear. :)
DeleteWell.....I made 2 apple crisps today [got 8 apples for $2]...
ReplyDeleteAnd I saw some Chick-a-dees in my feeder....
But I certainly can't draw like you...so talented!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
apple crisp...oh my! One of my favorites! Nice deal on the apples! I think I still have one bag of sliced apples in the freezer from the fall! ha. I should use those up before the fresh ones start coming in!
DeleteWow thats lovely you could frame that!
ReplyDeletewell, thanks so much, bauer. :) Maybe a poster in a kitchen, you think? :)
DeleteNow that I eat a bit more
ReplyDeleteHere at my shore
I eat an apple a day
Sometimes two at my bay
Another great drawing too
That has come due
Next time they come to peck
Ask them how to fix a neck..LOL
They would probably say that ice and rest
Deletewould be the best.
Or maybe eat a crooked neck squash
or some other kind of hogwash!
lol. :)
Two a day
you say?
That is good for you
since you have years to make up, you do!
LOL bah the ice doesn't seem to work
DeleteBut rest is a perk
A crooked nec squash is real?
Hmm that be a nasty ordeal
Yeah lots to make up for
With all those pringles at my shore
A can a day
Is not good for one person at any bay..haha
yes, a crooked neck squash is a real food
Deletemaybe it would work, so don't be rude.
It might taste so bad
you forget the neck pain that you had!
hahahaha
LOL raw garlic can do that
DeleteJust as well at my mat
Blah in every way
Never again at my bay
Hi Betsy, I hope apples do keep the dr. away for you,
ReplyDeleteYou have too much on your plate to be sick :)
well, thanks rhonda...I do, too!
DeleteSo cute, Betsy!! I love how you always incorporate your little birdies into your artwork. :)
ReplyDeletethank you, jax...yes, I have to get the bird in there. Hope it doesnt make you think of Alfred Hitchcock. lol.
DeleteIt does!!!!!! Oh The Birds was an AWFUL movie. Sigh...
DeleteI love your drawing! Apples and chickadees are a great combination.
ReplyDeleteI need to start eating healthy again too.
PS. It was Jack Daniels. :)
Deletewhat are you talking about...you had blueberries for breakfast! lol.
Deletejack daniels...mmmm...now, I bet that was extra yummy!
In the pecan pie.
DeleteLOL!!! Yes, I did get that. But heated with the blueberries might have made a delicious syrup! :)
DeleteMaybe, but I do not have any in the house. Rum flavoring maybe, but no Jack Daniels. *sigh*
DeleteThe perfect subject for Creative Tuesdays!
ReplyDeletethanks, michelle...it was a fun one to do!
Deletenice...your little birdies are cute...and i really like the shine on your apple...it gives it texture....nice sis..
ReplyDelete:) thanks, bri...
DeleteBetsy, that's very cute. Healthy huh, I have no idea how I'm going to tackle this weeks prompt. Well, hopefully a good nights rest will offer me some inspiration. And oh yeah, I don't know about the chickadees, but I love apples.
ReplyDeletehahaha...ew...not sure I'd eat a chickadee either, no matter how well roasted. lol. Can't wait to see what you come up with! You must work well under pressure since you're waiting til the last minute! lol.
DeleteWe grew up with that saying and my mom always tried to make sure we ate one each day. There is so many choices of fruit that I cannot remember as a child ever seeing. It seems like apples, oranges and bananas are our main choices.
ReplyDeleteI really like the leaves of the apple and the apple does look real. And little birds are an additional treat.
God bless.
we grew up that way, too! And I really didn't care for the apple in my lunch each day and threw it out! ha. They were usually jonathans...not my favorite. But you're right...we have so many other kinds available...especially these days!
DeleteYou know I luv Chickadees! Well done. They think bugs are healthy too but we won't go there. *grin*
ReplyDeletep.s. Are you getting any error messages when you log at my place?
haha...I almost added a ladybug...for the chickadees to eat! :)
DeleteI don't get one when I log on...I signed up for automatic log in and it's working fine. I do, however, get one after leaving a comment. But the comment goes through alright, so I just ignore it.
Ok thanks for letting me know about the error.
Deleteperfect! I love it.
ReplyDeletei eat atleast 3 a day! Love them - Honeycrisp are my favorite!
xo
me, too! They are THE best! yum. Some times they are so huge I can't finish one!
DeleteOh this is beautiful. Love the texture and colour of the apple!
ReplyDeleteoh, thanks...that's what I was going for...realistic skin and leaves!
DeleteWonderful little chickadees. I have several hanging around my yard, chirping away and visiting the bird feeders. Your work is always so delightful!
ReplyDeletethanks janice...chickadees are one of my favorite birds to watch...they are so energetic! ha.
Deletewonderful! I enjoy seeing all your artwork, love those cutie birds.
ReplyDeletethanks, lissa....I'm looking foward to you joining in again some time! ;)
DeleteBeing dependent on the earnings of one doctor at the moment and living in hope of seeing earnings from the other (student) doctor in the future, I must take exception at your words. Are you trying to put them out of business and dry up my supply of beer money?
ReplyDeletehahaha...well, yes, Alan dear...I do see your point there! :)
DeleteAww, those are the cutest lil baby birds ever. Lovely rendition, Betsy!! TY. GREAT! I was thinking of this phrase too but couldn't think how to show it.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I got this comment on my blog whihc I did not publish as i think it was meant to go to you....(not how how that got mixed up?!):
The answers don't always come, Betsy, but walking in environments like this do help put things into perspective. You make peace with what is. Prayer also helps one put things into perspective. We were never promised freedom from problems or even heartache, just promised a way would be made for us to bear it or a path through it. Make peace with it. The needed strength to face each thing we must. Promised we were never alone. Thank you for stopping by and walking past the flags to comment on my article, Betsy. Thank you for trusting me when I said the site is safe despite the warnings up right now. Lets hope they'll be down soon. Why yes, I did take a walk and talk today. :-) on Sunsets and Healthy Walks
~Sia McKye~
Thanks, Mmm. You know, I think the comment is for you...regarding your post on the sunsets and walks and the purpose of those walks. She must have forgotten that she wasn't on my blog any more and thought I wrote it! :)
