We have a lawn service that rids our yard of weeds but they still are free to
pop up in the flower beds and in the vegetable garden. But I don't mind! I have someone who really loves to munch on them...blooms, leaves and all. I think he's especially happy when spring comes and he gets fresh blossoms added to his dinner.
Nugget
I've joined the A to Z Challenge for the month of April!
Come back tomorrow for the letter E!
♥
Nice post Betsy! I love Nugget!
ReplyDeletethanks, gloria :)
Deleteso he eat these dandelion!
DeletePepita (our bunny that die time ago) loved lettuces!
yes, he loves dandelions, clover and little pansies...and the kale and lettuces, too. :)
Deletehaha I love how relaxed Nugget looks in that first one
ReplyDeleteIs he still getting along with the kitties by the ton?
I remember picking those things and getting a big hand full all built up
Then throwing them at the nearest person spilling their cup...hahaha
At least I rid the lawn of them though
That has to give me some points at my show
Right?
At least like the cat I never did bite..haha
Isn't he cute all stretched out like a cat?
DeleteI love his little rump bump when he lays like that.
Yep, still getting along just fine
really has worked out sublime,
especially Whiskers as they chase and tease
really fun to watch. They even play Hide and Seek
in my closet and scare each other
jumping out like sister and brother.
lol.
Throwing dandelions at whoever you please
now weren't you just a charming boy, geesh. lol.
The leaves aren't bad in a salad but can't imagine eating the blooms
that would just cause me some gloom. ha.
Yeah maybe with all the cats around
DeleteHe thinks he is a cat all profound
Such fun when they actually like to play
Sure it is amusing to watch at your bay
Whiskers surely has made herself at home
There at your dome
LOL throwing them was a grand time
Of course that was before I knew I could rhyme
Never eat them though
That is just yuck and a new low..haha
Off rhyme..Whiskers is miss personality and quite at home inside with me. Love how affectionate she's become...and sits on my laptop, as you know. lol.
DeleteA few nights ago some of the cats didn't want to go outside so we let them stay in all night. I was a little worried about Nugget but thought we might as well try it. And of course they were all just fine, but I had really weird dreams about Tiger wearing an Indian chief's head-dress of feathers and dragging nugget away by the tail. lol. SUCH a weird dream! I was trying to catch up to them and they were in a maze of highway and interstate loops. Good grief...that was so strange. I was glad when I woke up. lol.
Aren't dreams funny?
DeleteYour dream was pretty colorful.
Sweet Dreams.
haha...that one about Tiger was SO funny. I really should look up an interpretation...at least of the head-dress. lol. The next night I dreamed Tiger caught a turkey and was twisting it's neck. lol. These were while I was off coffee...think that had something to do with it? Of course, that mean tom-cat got shot about that same time, so maybe some of that was mixed in.
DeleteI know, I know...I'm really not well. It's stress. lol.
LMAO it seems Tiger is the one you have to watch out for
DeleteYour brain is telling you that at your shore
After all he did try and eat Mr. Bird
The little turd
Still funny where dreams can go
Even more fun when you remember everything like a maze with interstate loops..hahaha..don't you know
Yes away he ran with Mr. Bird in his teeth
Deletethat was crazy with the CHEAP, CHEAP.
My mind must remember that
and doesn't completely trust that cat!
Why he turned into an Indian, though
I'd really like to know! hahaha.
Maybe he is your secret spirit guide
DeleteTaking you for a dream ride
Or it could just be
A warning not to trust him at your sea
I can't believe how early the dandelions sprung up this year.
ReplyDeleteHa, that is great that you have a natural weed eater! My wife read that dandelions are healthy for people to eat so she's bought some a time or two at an organic market to mix into our green smoothies. I told her we have plenty right in our front yard but she didn't want to eat those.
they are supposed to be good for you...and the mix of greens I buy at the grocery has them in it. Can't imagine eating the blooms, though. ha.
DeleteNext time I make a smoothie, I'll have to add some greens!
that bunny sure is cute! when I was a little girl I would spend a week with my grandparents in the summer and grandma would pick fresh dandelion blossoms, wash them, and roll them in flour and fry them in butter then we'd eat them in a sandwich. haha, I know thats kind of strange but I loved it! they tasted like morel mushrooms. I haven't had any in years!
ReplyDeleteoh my...now I am intrigued! I love anything fried in butter...lol...
DeleteNugget looks so cute stretched out on the carpet!
ReplyDeleteisn't he a sweetie? :)
DeleteCute rabbit! My cat does the same pose, stretching on the carpet. We call it the "mullet" because he crosses his paws in front, all business, and he splays out all "party" in the back. ;)
ReplyDeletehaha...oh, that's funny. We call that the Sphynx when our cats do it.
DeleteRabbits could LAY down like that??? Wouldn't that infringe on their hopping abilities??? Hmm...it just looks unnatural and uncomfortable. LOL At least your little bunny is happy with his dandelions :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they could lay like that either until he did it. He's quite comfy like that...probably feels good to stretch out after being in a sitting position all the time. ha. My favorite way they lay is on their side ...I'll have to get a picture some time...with his ear flopped up. lol.
DeleteAwww!!! Too bad I'm allergic to bunnies or I would get myself a nugget to snuggle with :) Your nugget posts always make me smile!
Deletehaha...I wonder what you'd be trying to do to him...
Deletewash his fur clean down to his skin?
oh strat...
still rhyming like Pat. ha.
Geez you didn't rhyme in the respone to me
DeleteBut you did for her at your tree
Something is wrong there
The strangeness I just can't bear..haha
haha...yeah, what is wrong with me
Deleterhyming to everyone but thee. ha.
but this was a short
retort
yours was a story to tell late at night
my coffee was gone and caffeine no where in sight
hahaha
I suppose the cat can forgive you for that
DeleteAfter all we wouldn't want you to go on a rhyming rant like I do sometimes at my mat
awww cute little nugget...i love me some dandelions...some say they are a weed but...smiles.
ReplyDeletehaha...yeah, but you live in the hills
Deletethey eat those things for thrills.
:)
Aw, bunnies!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love to get a rabbit, but our older, much beloved cat is a serious assassin, and I would be afraid for the bunny, too!
yeah...you never know...I've heard some horror stories. I think it's probably better to have the rabbit first and introduce the cat as a kitten, when its smaller than the rabbit.
DeleteI LOVE dandelions and I just love Nugget...my daughter just got a Holland floppy eared bunny, her 2 little poodles love to cuddle with it. :)
ReplyDeleteoh that is so cute...I'm sure they are all enjoying the new pet! Our bunny is 5 years old already!
DeleteBetsy,
ReplyDeleteLove your photography! I will be back to visit and see what you post for the Challenge. Cute bunny! We're new to farm living and we've toyed with the idea of rabbits as pets. Hmmm.
Hi Angie! Nugget is a great pet...we got him a little late (5 months old) and he had never been held, so he isn't cuddly like a pet would be if you got them young. But he's housebroken, runs loose all the time, and has lots of personality. And you can't beat that soft fur! Check on the internet..there are lots of good sites with tips for having them as pets.
DeleteOh my goodness, my post for D in the A-Z challenge is also about dandelions!
ReplyDeleteI just love all your pictures, especially the collages you've put on most posts. I've done a couple for roundups and blog hops, but had never thought of doing it for other posts. They are especially gorgeous on the black background, like a light box effect. Gorgeous!
dandelions, too? No way! ha...told you we had a few things in common. :) I love doing the collages...obviously...and it's a nice way to use more photographs.
DeletePrecious little bunny...love those floppy ears!
ReplyDeleteI'm so used to his floppy ears that when I see one with ears that stand up, it looks funny to me! ha.
DeleteHey Betsy. The bunny is adorable. Reminds me of my Goddaughters. But just between us, Nugget is a much better name than her bunny's, Harry Potter-lol Thanks
ReplyDeleteHey, Fred. Harry Potter? haha...that's so cute. Well, Nugget was named by my oldest after the NBA team Denver Nuggets. lol. He doesn't even like that team now but the name has stayed.
DeleteLove the bunny.
ReplyDeletethanks, JDC...and thanks for visiting!
DeleteOh my stars! Oh Betsy! Nugget is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! How adorable! He's LOVELY!! Yay! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Isn't he sweet? And I'm glad the cats are getting along with him and not thinking of him as lunch! lol.
DeleteLovely bright photographs, so nice to see as it's damp and dismal where I am today. I also loved your coffee photos, from yesterday's blog, which has me getting up right now to make one myself in my little stove top machine. I could smell the aroma coming from your photos :)
ReplyDeletea stove top machine? Now I want to see that! :) Thanks for visiting, too. We're having a gloomy day weatherwise, too!
DeleteNugget looks so soft and strokable I can hardly stand it!
ReplyDeleteIt's his ears that I can't leave alone! lol.
DeleteHi dear Betsy, I put other Beatrix Potter drawing ha! I think is you and the triplets when were little:)) A bunny girl with the three!lol
ReplyDeleteah Nuguett is so cute, maybe I will have other Bunny lol!!
Deleteok...I'll come and have a look! :) You know I love Beatrix Potter! :)
DeleteWell, you know Esperanza would love it...what about your dogs?
Yes she love them but she wants a Bunny lol
DeleteWow, it's been a while since we had a good shot of Nugget. (Poor guy's been suffering with all those kitten/cat photos.) And now we have two!
ReplyDeleteIsn't he handsome? And he's dressed in black, just like you. ha.
DeleteAll he needs is a little silver here and there to add that distinguished touch!
Delete:) and blue eyes~ ha.
DeleteAwww, nice of you to remember that, doll. I remember your eye color, too. Brown. Both of 'em!
ReplyDeleteAw what a cutie! I don't mind the dandelions either :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy I think you had green eyes I dont know why!
ReplyDeleteoh, green?...haha...silver would even like that better!
DeleteI think like all LOL not matter the eyes color!
DeleteI have a plant stake that reads "May all your weeds be wildflowers". This made me think of it. Nugget is one lucky bunny! Well of course he is...he has four rabbit's feet. :)
ReplyDeleteoh, that's cute. You know, I have a huge violet patch and most people consider them to be weeds!
Deletedandelions means spring and summer to me. i love the sight of them. soon i will bust out the camera and begin taking some spring shots.
ReplyDeletea bunny sprawled out like that is a happy bunny.
well, bust out that camera, Ed! Can't wait to see some photos!
Deleteyes, bunny is happy...and getting fat! ha.
I need an ARMY of Nuggets to come and eat ALL the dandelions at The Glen! OH MY there are TONS of them!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have plenty of dandelions but no rabbit. I could send you some....
ReplyDeletehaha...oh, that's alright...I have plenty for one bunny! haha.
DeleteLoving your pictures!
ReplyDeleteHappy Hump Day!
My D
Thanks for stopping by, Jaycee!
DeleteIf Nugget reproduced as quickly as your cats, I would be glad to take 5 off your hands. Our dandelions are out of control here this spring...Yikes! I've had a good laugh reading some of the comments here...you are even funny in your dreams... (o:
ReplyDeleteI'm almost embarrassed to put my dreams on my blog sometimes because they are hilarious lol.
DeleteI wish you wanted 5 cats! lol.
Good thing you have Nugget to munch on the dandelions. 8~)
ReplyDeleteNancy
LOL about you wanting to giveaway the cats
