What I Did Wednesday #25

  1. Watered my little herb pots, which have sprouted nicely!
  2. Bought a new supply of little cat nip mice.  Shy little Oreo Girl won't let me touch her, but she does sneak in through the back door and grab them in her mouth and dash outside like she's made a great capture. She must have them all stashed somewhere in the bushes.  I should have named her Magpie! ha.
  3. Noticed my violet patch has bloomed.  I can see it through the fence while sitting at my desk!
  4. Sat a little while on the porch swing.  The sun is warm but the breeze is still chilly!
  5. Speaking of Oreo, she and her 8 siblings are resting easier today as the mean old tom cat that was attacking them and causing wounds is no longer on this earth.  Not a fun thing to do, but became necessary.  What a relief!
  6. Cleaned the bird cage.
  7. Went to the grocery, post office and pharmacy.  Loved all the blooming trees in the yard when I got home!
  8. Began sorting the vintage bottles I got at an auction.  There are several worth enough to put on ebay!  There are also several I'd like to keep for my own collection, one which actually says Kokomo, Indiana on it, which is where I was born!  How fun!
  9. We love asparagus but I've never bought white!  Do you like it?  Does it taste the same?
  10. Speaking of those bottles.  Did I tell you there were 680 of them?  Yes, I finally got them all washed.  What a 3 day adventure, but it deserves it's own post, so that's all I'll say for now.
  11. My coffee maker broke!  It's Pat's fault, you know.  I said things broke in threes here and that Spencer's laptop died.  He said my coffee maker would be next and it was!  I swore him to shut up and not guess a third! haha.  I've been drinking strong black tea until my new one comes that I ordered on Amazon.  But I'm telling you, I don't have my usual zip.  Although, that Zojirushi hot water system I bought The Mister has really come in handy for making cups of tea!  Still, I need my java!
  12. I picked up this cute vintage metal tray at the thrift store not long ago.  The pears look nice in it as I let them ripen.
  13. And last but not least, I want to announce that Jax has won the Pedicure Party Giveaway!!!  Congratulations, Jax!  Email me your mailing address and I'll get your package in the mail right away!  And thanks to all that joined in the fun!  Let's make it an annual event!

What a beautiful spring day it is here!
I hope you've had a lovely day, too!
What did you do?

I can't wait for you to do a post about the bottles. ;~)
Well...we got wind, rain, hail, thunder & lightening this afternoon. But...we did get to see a little blue sky before the storm went through. 8~)

wow..you had quite the storm! We're supposed to get rain this evening. I even made it to the grocery without rain today! yay!

    3. haha...did you get any in him? My boys love green beans..especially Harry. He even loved them as baby food...and cried when they were all gone! ha. He still asks for them every night and is disappointment when I make them another veggie. lol. Your dinner sounds wonderful!

  9. LMAO ohhhh you are giving me the full blame and telling me to even shut up at my sea?
hahahaha that just causes me such glee
Maybe if I tell you the third a bloddy wanker will come due
That would be such fun too..hahaha
The kitties all to seem to be resting more at ease
Stealing the catnip mice before you can get them to freeze
You really do live all Mayberry like at your place
    Such a lovely little space
Oh dear now I'm using your words too
    This just will not do
Now Jax can be late for work even more
As she does her feet as well as her hair in the morning at her shore..hahaha
You'll may get a call from the Japanese
Wishing you the Gawker's fleas on your knees..haha

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yes, it's all your fault, you!
And you know it, too! hahaha.
Yep, a little bit of Mayberry
      makes me kind of cheery.
It was also great to have all nine cats
asleep on the porch this afternoon
with nobody trying to kill them, that crazy loon.
Now they can just enjoy being alive
instead of trying to survive. :)
I'm glad the word exchange is working both ways
with me saying strat and flibo and you saying dear to your dismay.
And yes, Jax has a new reason to be late for work
or she could do her toes while she works and lurks.
      haha.

      Delete
    2. hahaha I can handle all the blame
As it just grows my fame
All nine cats alive and well
      No longer going through Hell
Is great piece of mind for them and you
And yeah trading words what can we do?..haha
Toes at work would be interesting to see
Though not sure the Japanese would look at her too kindly

      Delete
    3. they already think she's crazed
laughing to herself and acting amazed
having way too much fun for being at work
being late and spilling coffee while she lurks.

      Delete
    4. You two do realize that I am RIGHT here, right??? I can hear you both!! hahahahaha

      Delete
    5. well, you weren't when we said it....haha...but we knew you'd get here eventually. :)

      Delete
    6. LOL yeah always a little late
      That is just her fate

      Delete
    7. LMAO!!! That's sad, but very true!
Sigh...My manager called me at 5am just to help me get to work on time. That was a fail!

but late or not, I could still read everything you said! Hmph...
And the pedicure excuse is much better than egging myself... hahahaha

      Delete
    8. hahahaha you can't be late when the manager calls
Have to hurry extra fast to your work stalls
But I suppose if an egg comes due
And the window being open isn't true
There is not much you can do
So stick with the feet and capturing moths in the loo
Those are much better reasons for being late
And read away for all of this is at Betsy's plate
      All caused by her
So the cat will just sit and purr

      Delete
    9. You're getting me back
for blaming you that my coffee maker had a heart attack
      aren't you
      yes, it's true.

      Delete
    10. haha maybe just a little bit
But still the cat likes to take the coffee maker hit
Because he was oh so right
About your second thing that would break at your site..haha

      Delete
    11. maybe this time we'll just stop at two!
although I'd love it if my refrigerator broke
it's so old I'm surprised it hasn't choked.
I'd like a new one of those
to hold all the food for my fellows.
      ha.

      Delete
    12. Could always break it on purpose and call it number three
Then you killed two birds with one stone at your sea..haha

      Delete
    13. lol...you mean take a pellet gun to it?
or how would I break it? lol.
pull out some wires from the back
and said it also had a heart attack?

      Delete
    14. Just unplug it and get Nugget to chow down
Let him go right to town
And the cords will no longer work
Then you can blame him with a smirk
And a new one will come due
      For you and your crew

      Delete
    15. Not a bad idea there
not even absoludacris, if you dare.
He's been blamed for chewing cords before
and we have to keep them off the floor! ha.
