Bubble gum is the theme over at Creative Tuesdays!
I had to figure out how to get my trademark bird in the drawing! I almost wove Bazooka comics into a nest but thought maybe that wouldn't count since it didn't actually show the gum. I opted for a bubble-blowing bird and an impressed audience, too! ha. And I changed brands from Bazooka to Double Bubble. Actually, the wrapper is my favorite part! So, there you have it. :)

ReplyDeleteYep! I think this is my least favorite from all two years of entries!
ReplyDeleteOops! You could have just skipped one. :)
ReplyDeleteCute...birds blowing bubbles. Say that five times really fast : )
ReplyDeleteWe used to have bubble blowing contests when I was young...very messy, but fun.
What your ocd wouldn't let you skip one..LOL
ReplyDeleteAlways having to give it a one
But it turned out great
As always at your plate
Birds can chew gum who knew
Tiger might get a sticky mouth if he snacks on a few..haha
Pat ~ that would be bad, it's true.
ReplyDeleteTiger with a sticky mouth and feathers, too!
Could really be a mess
I will confess.
ha.
Wonder if Tiger could blow a bubble
maybe he wouldn't want to go to the trouble?
LadyCat ~ we did, too! We'd have a mess in our eyebrows! haha.
ReplyDeleteWell, it was your choice. It still came out very well, even if you weren't thrilled with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love bubble gum Betsy! Look nice!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how your little birds would fit into this theme. It was a tough one...!
ReplyDeleteI do love the look on the little birds face watching...wondering if it's going to POP!
The wrapper..cute!
I'm chuckling. Not because of your drawing but the subject matter.
ReplyDeleteI love your sence of humor.
(birds chewing and blowing bubble gum. lol)
Really I made it not a lot time! Sometimes the kids give me one! But dont like like timesd ago!
ReplyDeleteChristine ~ well, thanks! :) Had to get the bird in there, you know! ha.
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ remember how hard bubble gum used to be? That Bazooka was like a rock. ha. At least now it is softer.
Wanda ~ I loved your drawing! haha...so cute!
Our prefered so far was bazooka, really when my Mom travel to States she bring us a lot, later we have here too:)
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ when I was a little older they came out with those bubble gum cigars. I loved the banana flavor. That sounds awful to me now, though! ha.
ReplyDeleteah Betsy you and the birds are each other:)
ReplyDeleteBetsy still I love banana flavour alot!
ReplyDeleteI like it Betsy!! I don't chew bubble gum much, but when I do I like watermelon. :)
ReplyDeleteWas bazooka the gum that had comics in the wrapper?
ReplyDeleteyes I think so rebecca, heey you dont visit me or yes?? sorry Im crazy today:))
ReplyDeleteI remember the comic Rebecca and betsy! was nice!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was pretty awful---it had a peperminty flavor. I used to get it stuck in my hair when I was little--made my mom SO upset. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria, it's ok, I like crazy people. :) Did you have a good day?
ReplyDeleteooh in the hair is the worst, only with scissors (lol) Ihave to cut some of mine hair for this some times!
ReplyDeleteso and so! but I made a post maybe you like:)) The best of the day was when I swim you know! is the best
ReplyDeleteI checked out your post--that was a nice dessert you made for your mom. I didn't comment because I didn't have much time. :)
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to get freezing rain tonight. :(
ReplyDeleteOK daughter I forgive you (lol)
ReplyDeletethe worst IS in the hair...that used to happen to me if I fell asleep with it in my mouth!
ReplyDeleteLove rain, you know how Iam , I lov eyour pictures!
ReplyDeleteOk, Silver keeps telling me I'm a baby, and now you're calling me daughter. You're making me feel like a little kid. :)

ReplyDeleteOK Larry...that coming from an art teacher makes me feel a bit better! Thank you! :)
ReplyDeletebirds with bubble gum...do the bubbles chirp when they pop?
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute!
ReplyDeletewow, great painting, I agree this one is a challenge, I'm not able to do this weeks challenge but boy its a tricky one for sure,
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job, that birds going to burst that bubble, I just know it!
I see two mischievous baby birds having fun exploring. Darling.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute and I love the border, it looks like a postage stamp.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny how as a child I seemed to always have gum in my mouth, but nowadays chewing gum for more than 10 or 15 minutes gives me a headache. But I still like to chew bubble gum every so often while driving and to blow the bubbles. It's like being a child for just a little while.
ReplyDeleteOh and peanut butter is good to use to get gum out of a child's hair. Ice can also freeze it and make it easier to pick out. Our mom said if we wanted to keep our hair then we better figure out how to get it out. Oh and it is good for getting it out of carpet too.
It would be cute to see a bird blowing a big bubble but not to see it swallow the gum.
God bless.
Oh this is adorable. I can just imagine the other bird egging the blowing one on, saying "yeah, yeah, you can do it,... bigger now" and then a big splat :)
ReplyDeleteaww that made me smile :-)who says birds cannot do things just for the fun? :-)
ReplyDeleteAwww what a lovely drawing!! And fun too!! Take care
ReplyDeletex

ReplyDeletePat ~
ReplyDeletehaha...stuck in their feathers...
won't wash out in any kind of weather!
Gloria ~ we used to make big bubbles. Sometime's we would cheat and chew two pieces to get them really big!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely composition Betsy with the bird on the left looking as if he wants to join in with the bubble blowing. Love the addition of the wrapper with all its colour.
ReplyDeleteso cute!
