I needed some little thank you gifts for the boys' church helpers and teachers. I found these little bottles of hand soap shaped like fruit and thought they were really cute. But...they were kind of boring! So I got out my glue gun, ribbon, tiny ornaments and bits of dried berries and leaves. After a little makeover, I think they look much more special, don't they?
***
And, shhh...don't tell anyone that I only paid $1.50 each. You can't beat that, can you! They look much more festive now. I wouldn't mind getting one myself!
♥
Your beautiful touches make them look very expensive. Well done!
ReplyDeletelovely gifts Betsy!
ReplyDeleteYou really have a fantastic eye. Well, two of 'em, actually, but you know what I meant! :) Seriously, it's amazing what touches you add to things that helps them realize their potential. (And I'm not just talking about little knick-knacks...)
ReplyDeleteYou are talented!
ReplyDeleteI try to "pick out" things I would like myself for a gift.8~)
thanks, everyone...and Silver, that was especially sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't be a mean old s.o.b. all the time, I guess.
ReplyDeletenice...like what you did with the ribbons and the berries...
ReplyDeleteyou might want to keep an eye on your eyes....around silver you know...haha
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought he had a thing for green eyes...oh wait...Brian, aren't yours green? lol....
ReplyDeleteVery cute - I think anyone would be thrilled to get them!
ReplyDeleteOh, green eyes are nice, but it's the entire woman that counts. And as you stand there, close enough to enjoy the scent of her perfume, it doesn't matter what color eyes you're staring into.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'.
Awww they're now works of art! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Well, I hope she knows how lucky she is, Silver...and I hope you know what color her eyes are by now. ha. :)
ReplyDeleteShe? What makes you think I was talking about anyone specific? In fact, that was a reworked line from a recent story: "Still enjoying the scent of her perfume, I slowly stood again and looked my little angel in the eyes.... those gorgeous brown eyes."
ReplyDeleteSmashing gifts and the moon photo is stunning! lol Angela
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela! The moon photo is fresh off the camera! ha.
ReplyDeleteVery cute Betsy! I wish I had some of your creativity. I mostly copy others. :) Silver is admiring Brian's eyes? What???? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat nice moon Betsy:)
ReplyDeleteOooh! Nice moon pic, Betsy! I think I need to look outside and see what our sky looks like.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Roy! Our sky is all hazy now..like we might get snow. I think I caught it clear just at the right moment!
ReplyDeleteBetsy now the moon look like yours (he,he) but I see more small:))
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ yeah, it's farther up in the sky now...I took it early and also used my zoom lens. Pretty, huh....almost full!
ReplyDeleteyeah betsy I think you used the zoom you have a wonderful camera I know by your pictures, are beautiful always, if you see mine, maybe you laugh, atime the kids used so you can imagine like is now:)
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ are you kidding? Your camera takes wonderful photos..that's what I first noticed about your blog..the gorgeous photography! :)
ReplyDeleteYes is true betsy the kids used to videos too, at school you know, I have to stick with tape!!! really, well anyway I love my camera Betsy(lol)
ReplyDeleteOk, since you're talking about them--I'm looking for a new camera. Betsy, Gloria, what would you recommend?
ReplyDeleteOh Rebecca I think Betsy know more about, anyway mine is a NIKON and is nice...until the twins used a lot!, is OK, I dont consider these things personal and the kids know, :)
ReplyDeleteThe nice of my NIKON is easy to use and take nice pictures:)
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ if you don't want to spend too much, my previous camera was a Canon Quick Shot. It had nice features and did really well.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to spend a little more, I now have a Nikon CoolPix. It has a larger zoom.
But it can't do anything near what Christian or Anita's cameras can do. ha.
Delight to my ocd senses today
ReplyDeleteGetting all festive in keeping the germs away
You can't beat that
It would even be enjoyed by the cat
As the dumbie would eat everything off
Then go about and cough...haha
A full moon too
Now if only it was blue
Then I could use many references with that
Still great new what? 50th header at your mat..haha
Pat ~ yep, I'm fickle with the headers, I will admit
ReplyDeleteThat probably causes the Cat to have a fit!
But at least the post is about keeping clean
So you can't be too mean!
lol....
no blue moon
not even a cow jumping over like a loon.
Ok, maybe I just need photography classes. Embarassingly enough I have the same camera as you do Betsy. Why do your pictures look SO GOOD, and mine look..........:(
ReplyDeleteRebecca Listen My first pics wwere not so good but know I learne , psst! you dont need clases, all we can, he,he :))
ReplyDeleteCameras now are amazing, if you need some help mail me:)
Rebecca ~ you have a Coolpix? OK..then it's your editing. Do you use Picasa or anything like that? It's free..and really easy...just download it from Google or whatever.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness....Betsy those are darling, and I just remembered I have a glue gun somewhere...I must find it!!
ReplyDeleteI know the boy's helpers will adore those gifts.
No dish running away with a spoon
ReplyDeleteCould add the cow in as a cartoon..haha
Pat ~ maybe the cow could be friends with the goat in the tree
ReplyDeletenow wouldn't that be too funny!
Whiskers was on the roof today
