  1. thanks, silver. I snapped this a few days ago. Today, Mr. Cardinal was back, and those kittens started climbing the tree after him just like they did with the Jay. lol...no photos, though. Mr. Cardinal didn't stay too long to tease them.

  5. Farmchick ~ I want to put out some bird see, but with 9 kittens in the back yard, the odds are certainly against the bird!

  18. I think with Silver you need to invest in a bug sweeper too
The electronic kind, not anything for squashing bugs as they bother you
Hmmm well maybe that would work better, you think?..hahaha
Mr. Cardinal wouldn't play with a kitty
    What a pity
    Great shot though
Yes, nature does do it better unless it decides to use ten feet of snow

  19. Betsy - simple beauty is always more lovely through your eyes...thanks for sharing. Hugs! XO

  22. I don't see any cats up there, do I? Whew!
That would really make a great Christmas card.

  23. hahaha I had plenty to choose from too
There were snowmen doing the same thing you were able to view
    A multiple Santa full moon
And a conga line with most everything flapping in the breeze as they moved to the tune...hahaha

  24. Christine ~ there were! But the cardinal flew away before they got very far.

  25. Pat ~

  26. Nature can and does "outdo" us everytime--lovely shot. I made the Rusian Tea Cakes today, and they were fabulous. Thanks so much for the recipe and for the "push" that made me finally make them. Have a lovely Christmas with your family and a New Year filled with joy, peace, and blessings. Mickie :)

  29. Nothing comes close to nature when it comes to beauty. Sunrises, sunsets, and rainbows are some of the most beautiful scenes that nature provides. Although some birds are definitely the most colorful. You just gotta love nature and the beauty she provides. I must say that you are blessed with some beautiful views.

    God bless.

  30. Beautiful dear Betsy and I agree.;))

  32. And BOY does that Cardinal look fat and maybe a TINY bit grumpy!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Great shot of the Mr.; all you're missing is the snow.

I'm pricing bird feeders at work, since I'm finally living in a place where I can put one up in view of a window. I want to get both a seed and a suet feeder - I wanna see Woodpeckers and Nuthatches as well as the usual Cardinals and Blue Jays!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jill ~ I think he was disappointed the feeder was empty. ha.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Roy, if you can get one that fits on your window that's the best. Easy to fill from inside and they are nice and close up, too.

  36. Birdie ~ a new blog? Good for you! I'll come over and check it out!
