  11. You think CPR stands for Coffee Provides Resuscitation.

  13. Your first-aid kit contains two pints of coffee and an I.V. hook-up.
  14. When someone says, "How are you?" you answer "Good to the last drop!"
  15. You're the Employee of the Month at Starbucks and you don't even work there.

  10. I love coffee but lately it hasn't been tasting very good.
I think when they over grow things in the same soil, the taste changes.

  11. Ed ~ 1/2 cup? No, I seriously would not consider that addicted. lol. I drink 12 cups a day! and then maybe a cup of tea in the evening. lol.

  12. I just read your "what's happening now" about the doors open or closed, and it made me laugh as we ALWAYS have to have all doors closed. We lock our selves in so my son doesn't get outside, but inside he makes absolutely sure all doors are shut even if I'm trying to walk through them!

  13. Pat ~

I wondered the same thing about the dog and his tail
Can answer that one to no avail.
Glad that doesn't work with cats
or people would think I'm bats.

Yep, the caffeine helps me get things done
without it I'd act as old as my age and then some!

  14. Lady ~ hmmm...sounds like you need to switch brands...or clean your coffee maker...that always helps mine.

  15. Falling ladies...I've been fighting with Spencer all day about the doors. Especially the one to the laundry room since I'm doing laundry! ha. This is a new quirk to us...and I hope it is shortlived.

  17. They are all me even though I have cut down. I just today brought my old expresso machine down from upstairs storage so I could make a stronger, better cup of coffee.

  18. Oh what a hilarious list...love #16!!

I've had to reduce my coffee intake to one tiny cup each morning...for some reason too much coffee causes gb attacks...I'll be glad when this surgery is over Nov. 11th and I can enjoy Starbucks again.

  20. Mmmmmm, coffee.... The only one I would add is that when you set up your coffee pot the night before (if you have a timer) it smells so good that you are tempted to brew it right then and there, at 11 PM. Not a good idea though when you consider we don't do decaff in our house.

  21. Christy ~ I've mentioned at night how good it smells setting it up for the morning! ha. And I really do having it on my bedside table and use it for an alarm clock! ha.

  24. How cute (and true)! I don't like coffee unless there is plenty of cream and sugar in it and them it really isn't coffee anymore. I have my other downfalls though--diet Dr. Pepper is my "picker-upper! Always fun to see your post. Have a great week. Oh, the tree is a sweetgum. Mickie :)

  25. My favorite one is "good to the last drop!" I need to practice that for answering people's "How are you?" greetings. ha ha!! (Oh to be loved as much as people love their coffee!!!!) : P Cindy

  28. I am thinking that one could replace chocolate with coffee, then even us non-coffee drinkers would have to admit to a chocolate addiction.

But if I were to drink coffee I would use a French Press to make it. I use one to make tea and it works great, especially for loose tea. Although I do cut the tea bags open, so I guess all the tea in there is loose. Give it a try, it makes a better cup of tea using less tea. It brews longer as it slowly sinks to the bottom.

And if one is addicted to coffee flavored chocolate...

    God bless.

  29. Mrs U ~ that is very true. In fact I think very dark chocolate and coffee taste very similar!

  30. I linked to you in my blog today! Happy coffee drinking! I just have a cup (or 2)of decaf in the morning.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I guess we all have our own addiction levels. I am addicted at two or three cups of half/half (that's half decaf and half regular) a day. I keep telling myself I need to switch over to green tea but it's not near so much fun.

  32. i'm trying to figure out how i can possibly have that first cup without leaving my bed! ha ha....first thing would be to completely change my morning coffee ritual! but i will say i do jump out of bed run down the stairs, grind the beans and get the coffee started before doing anything else (including making the br pit stop!) the cats are now so well trained that they know they will only be fed after they hear the whirr of the coffee grinder! after tje whirr comes the mews!

p.s. oh, i once did have a mug which proclaimed decaf is the anti-christ....

  33. kim ~ you just get a programmable coffee maker and put it on your bedside table...use it as an alarm clock like I do. :)

  34. 17. You think that the neighbors "whatsit" is much too loud.
