Celebrating

Thanks so much, blog friends, for helping me celebrate my birthday today! You guys are the best! You made me feel young! :) The Mister had flowers delivered to the house. I've always loved that my birthday was the first day of fall. An autumn-themed bouquet was the perfect choice! Can't wait for the blooms to open up a bit more!
Earlier in the year I had seen a watch that I loved. Until I saw the price! lol. You know how it is...champagne tastes on a beer budget? Well, isn't the Internet great? I found it marked down a couple hundred dollars with free shipping! It's a Citizen Eco Drive. Gold, stainless and diamonds with a mother-of-pearl face. It's solar powered so no more batteries! And it's water proof up to 300 feet under water. I can scuba dive in this thing! ha. Not that I will, but I have been known to snorkel! I'm just happy to keep it on in the shower, helping the boys in the tub and doing dishes. I took it to have some links removed in the band last Friday and haven't taken it off since. Nice. And as I found out the first night, the hands glow in the dark. Love that, since the clock isn't on my side of the bed. I guess it's on my wrist til I die. haha...and no jokes about that being soon since I'm so old now. lol...
Tonight, The Mister and I went out to dinner with Taylor and girlfriend Lauren. Isn't she a cutie? Sweet, too. She even gave me a gift card to the local coffee shop here in the village. I think she's a keeper. :) We ate at The Cheesecake Factory. What a nice way to end the day!

Sounds like a fab day and on top of all those amazingly lovely comments too. ...You certainly have a huge fan base following, don;t you?! And well deserved, I might add.

The flowers look lovely, teh watch too. But best of all? Taylor's dear GF. Aww. He deserves the best and so glad to read how she is as sweet as she seems. So....I have to wonder, did the trips go out with you too adn if not, who stayed home to watch them then, if not T? LOL.

  24. Happy Birthday wishes for you. Sounds like you had a wonderful day. The bouquet is gorgeous and so awesome on saving money on a beautiful watch. I cannot remember the last time I wore a watch because it seems that I just use my phone. Yes, the girlfriend is a keeper. Do the boys have fun with her and tease her very much? That would be cool if they do.

And remember, Doris Hope made it to 102, so you haven't even reached your halfway years yet. Your just getting wet behind the ears. Happy Birthday again.

    God bless.

The other three actually look more like the mister, in my opinion. But there are resemblances for sure in all four guys.

  35. Solar powered watches don't work here; no solar light!

The last time I saw the sun I thought it was the moon on fire!

  37. sounds like a great day Bets. love the watch. I haven't worn one since my grandmother's rose gold watch from the Thirties stopped working and I can't find anyone who knows how to fix it. now I'm motivated!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Caligirl ~ I love rose gold! I hope you can find someone to fix it! You know, I've ordered a half dozen vintages watches from someone on ebay that cleans and repairs. I would highly recomment them if they accept watches like yours. I'll email you her info. I'll have to look her up.

  39. Pat ~ fake green in your town?
I want to know more and how?
Are you talking inside or out
    that would make me pout
    plastic flowers and leaves
    not to mention trees.
At least they don't need water
and trimming would make you hollar.
Hey, is that topiary at bush #3
    real, or just fakey?
