Sunrise, 8:00 A.M. EST 2-17-11. Looking east and straight up.
- Snow melts quickly,
- Providing
- Robins a look into the soggy grass.
- Irresistible temperatures
- Nudging me to open the window a crack.
- Gusts of warmth merrily tinkle the wind chime outside.
- Tempting as it feels, I'm no fool.
- Easy come - easy go, this joke from Mother Nature!
- Another snow will come.
- Spring has not begun,
- Even though the sun kissed my face today!
I'm joining Sky Watch Friday!

Betsy...
ReplyDeleteSo true about the Spring tease.
We are currently having snowy skies...
But last Saturday was one of those Spring tease days...
which I will take whenever I can get one.
Where we live we do not see Spring until around June.
Nancy
Amazing photographs. So pretty and your Spring Tease is a gem.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you are thinking today! ;D
ReplyDeleteGreat sky shots. Your spring tease is so true. We are enjoying two days of temps in the 60's. next week its calling for a wintry mix...ugh!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree that this weather is a tease. More snow lurks around the corner I have no doubt.
ReplyDeleteWe're definitely seeing the warmer temps here too...and it feels great. But it looks like you got all the sunshine. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThe temperature's been above average all week here (and today was almost 70 degrees). However, as much as I'm loving the warmth, I wish it would drop back down to "normal" before things start blooming. Otherwise, they'll freeze when the inevitable cold weather comes back.
ReplyDeleteA very nice Sky Watch sighting for today.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so ready, so ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteWe got up to 62 today. I hope we don't get blooms...I hate that, too, when they all freeze again!
ReplyDeleteYou have given us 2 stunning sky shots with the second one my favorite. Love the spring tease poetry....I am ready for it to arrive!
ReplyDeleteWonderful skies. I see a heart.
ReplyDeleteI wanted Sunshine so badly as we are picking up Martha's daughter at LAX Airport tonight... Rain in the forcast..maybe the sun will break through tomorrow for her.
Love your Spring Tease...
that is a gorgeous sunrise...its supposed to be 75 here tomorrow! yay! i hope its not a tease...
ReplyDeleteThe sky can be pretty amazing--you'll love looking at photos of the sky from around the world. I have to tell you of our weather here in Kansas. One week ago it was -16 degrees ( a record), and today it was 75 (a record)--ya gotta love Kansas!!! Mickie
ReplyDeleteVery amusing, and clever.
ReplyDelete(P.S. -- Lucky sun!)
Mickie ~ we're about 60 degrees warmer than last week too! Crazy!
ReplyDeletevery nice! weather here in TX is between 70-80...:)
ReplyDeleteHope you can take a peek at my SkyWatch Friday entry as well. Thanks!
Perfect! Lovely images and I love when you do these posts - spring is coming even if here it just took a detour all of a sudden.;)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend,
xoxo
Glad Spring is on a promise, even if it has not turned up yet. Over here Spring is a tease : here today, gone tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely Betsy! I love it when the sun kisses my face too...especially on a coolish sort of morning!!
ReplyDeleteThese teases are sweet gifts!! Keep us going through the cold! Lovin' ours!!
ReplyDeleteIn New England they call this Strawberry Spring, although I have yet to see any strawberries pop up during it.
ReplyDeleteRoy ~ Strawberry Spring! I've never heard of that. :) Hey..thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteIts warm here too. 75 yesterday and I think, in Va. the snows are over! Beautiful dawn photo, I love how the sun peeks out from behind the trees.
ReplyDeleteart2cee2 ~ 75...wow..that's enough to made your trees bud! I hate it when everything blooms too early and then it freezes again. Hope that doesn't happen!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs, absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo of the sun coming up behind the trees. As it is, i humbly bow before thee, ascrostic queen. :)
ReplyDeleteYou KNOW it is a tease! BUT, we will RELISH it while it is here!
ReplyDeleteLIFE GIVING!
Uplifting post to match the phenomenal spring thaw in my parts today.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, I thought you might appreciate this from Creative Sunday at our place. It goes well with you beautiful photo. This would make a great poster. Love your poets eye.
ReplyDeleteKite Skies
In the march of me
Under kite skies
I was
Wind blown
Cloud filled
Head gone
Heart filled
Youth torn
I was
Under kite skies
In the spring of me

All I can do is SIGH..waiting for spring!
