Sunrise

Sunrise, 8:00 A.M. EST 2-17-11. Looking east and straight up.

  • Snow melts quickly,
  • Providing
  • Robins a look into the soggy grass.
  • Irresistible temperatures
  • Nudging me to open the window a crack.
  • Gusts of warmth merrily tinkle the wind chime outside.

  • Tempting as it feels, I'm no fool.
  • Easy come - easy go, this joke from Mother Nature!
  • Another snow will come.
  • Spring has not begun,
  • Even though the sun kissed my face today!

I'm joining Sky Watch Friday!

Click HERE to see gorgeous skies from all over the world.

See anything in the clouds? I see a pelican and a skateboarder!

  1. Betsy...
So true about the Spring tease.
We are currently having snowy skies...
But last Saturday was one of those Spring tease days...
which I will take whenever I can get one.
Where we live we do not see Spring until around June.

  5. I agree that this weather is a tease. More snow lurks around the corner I have no doubt.

  6. We're definitely seeing the warmer temps here too...and it feels great. But it looks like you got all the sunshine. Enjoy your day!

  7. The temperature's been above average all week here (and today was almost 70 degrees). However, as much as I'm loving the warmth, I wish it would drop back down to "normal" before things start blooming. Otherwise, they'll freeze when the inevitable cold weather comes back.

    Kite Skies

    In the march of me
    Under kite skies
    I was
    Wind blown
    Cloud filled
    Head gone
    Heart filled
    Youth torn
    I was
    Under kite skies
    In the spring of me
