Crescent Rolls

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without these rolls!
If you want to make them, start today...the dough has to
rise in the refrigerator overnight.
I wish you could smell them!

  1. I'm not sure I can slide them in for Thanksgiving, but they sure look like something I can get to for the weekend football games! Thanks for the recipe.

  8. In my family it's not Thanksgiving without my sister's corn-crab pudding. You have to be from Maryland to understand!

It's actually turkey hunting season up here in the mountains of Pennsyltucky... I wonder if I know anybody with a shotgun?

  9. Oh, and oyster stuffing. Yup, more Maryland tradition.

  10. Roy, I know exactly what you mean. It wouldn't be thanksgiving here without my Auntie's homemade chicken and noodles. She was born in the 1800's and made them until she died in the 1970's. I've always carried on the tradition. It's not Maryland...but it's a Hoosier thing. ha.

  11. definitely printing off the recipe for christmas dinner. thanksgiving is covered - we are having thanksgiving elsewhere and my assignment was a veggie side! I'll be doing a twist on sweet potatoes - using some mango, curry, and cilantro to spice things up!

    have a wonderful thanksgiving! xxxx

  13. Unfortunately, I'm the only girl around our table! Even with the guests! So, guess who is baking and cooking it all? Hmmm...I bet I get to clean up, too. Sigh. :)

  15. Thanks for reminding me of something that happened 27 years ago.

I was pregnant with Son #1, but Hubby and I hadn't told anyone yet. I decided to make homemade crescent rolls for dinner. All was going well until the rolls started cooking; the smell caused my stomach to churn and I ended up running to the bathroom to be sick. I'm not sure what excuse I used, but I never made the rolls again!
