touch-ups before the room gets put back together.
One good thing about painting is that you move furniture
that doesn't usually get moved! Can you guess how much
dust and rabbit hair can collect behind an entertainment
center in 3 years? A lot! So I did some spring-cleaning!
Or..make that fall-cleaning. :)
I am curious how the boys handled the commotion of the painting??
ReplyDeleteSad to say, I painted around our entertainment center the last time we painted. I rolled as far behind as I could from the side and top and ALMOST got the whole wall. I just couldn't face all the wires and connections. A friend of mine moved into a house and found the previous owner had painted around every picture on the wall. Now that seems even ridiculous to me! :-)
ReplyDeleteCorners ~ the boys are fine with it. They have a tv and computer in a spare bedroom so they aren't without their 'toys'. :) They have walked around in there, though, just curious I think.
ReplyDeleteAnita ~ I did the same with my china cabinet one time. :) Pictures on the wall? Now that is just weird! haha.
ReplyDeleteMe likey... a lot!
ReplyDeleteWow, it's going to look stunning, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteBwahaha @ painting round pics - I would NEVER have thought of doing that!
I know what you mean about little piles; I found moths nests when I moved the piano. Can't wait for the reveal, it looks fresh already.
ReplyDeleteThat's the great thing about when we moved all the time...the furniture would get moved, and the washer, and dryer, etc., and you knew you wouldn't be taking the dust with you.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Spencer has been moving the furniture! :)
Yes, you could almost devote a blog meme to stuff found wedged behind unmoved furniture : a kind of Sepia Saturday or Dusty Sunday. I tend to be of the paint-around school of thought.
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing. I love that extra clean feeling after painting and moving everything around.
ReplyDeletePainting definitely makes one clean under and around and on top of, but it sure leaves a room fresh and clean feeling and looking, which makes it all worth it. Last time I painted I found a book I had been looking for, plus a few bunnies here and there! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm quite sure you found other things as well, no?
ReplyDeleteLoving the colour picked--looks very sophisticated and serene too. Good going. :)
It already looks completely different.
ReplyDeleteGood choice in color!
I can so imagine the rabbit hair collection you must have found. My son's dog used to shed so much hair, I joked that we could have made another dog out of it.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the sneak peek!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't need to paint, but I sure need to get behind the couches and desk! I'm sure I would find some "Molly" hair.....
Looking Good!!!
ReplyDeleteWow big change....crisp and clean looking. Can't wait for the reveal. I love white trims. It just makes the color on the walls pop!
ReplyDeleteREFRESHING!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy! Happy weekend! :D
ReplyDeleteKayren ~ haha..that is SO true...just looks like Spencer has been there! :)
ReplyDeleteIt always takes a lot of motivation to do any kind of remodeling, but always so happy with it when it is over. It is looking great!!
ReplyDeleteOh, good luck with everything.;) I know, when I remove my furniture that needs not to be moved that often, I find so much dust I can not believe it.;)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Sunday,
xoxo
It is always so amazing how awful things looks while painting walls then all of a sudden when it all goes back it is all good again.
