How exciting it is to me, to see freshly sharpened pencils, new watercolor paper, and a new tube of paint. You have captured "ART" so well. And I have always loved your lemonade drawing!!
Will post my tomorrow, as today I'm enjoying my "1000" post!
Betsy, I am sure it won't surprise you to learn that I too have an almost exactly the same type of mug filled with almost exactly the same coloured pencils on my desk. Uncanny isn't it.
Betsy, I love your cup of pencils! So colorful, waiting to create more of your wonderful "ART" You are good, mine are scattered all over my desk! I need to be more organized. I love you've got mail, too! xxoo
Beautiful, you have such a cosy style.;)) On another note, I really love that painting of the tea glass on your side bar and the quote that goes with it.;) xo
I have colored pencils in the craft box for visiting children. My boys loved anything artistic and still do. I have never even thought about getting the colored pencils back out for ME to use! I'm going to put them on my desk and Use them.. just for me! :-)
Oh that is so cute! So, did you use the coloured pencils as depicted here for each of the pencil's individual colours?! Clever clever. Love it. Like your little sketch around the mug too and how you chose to colour it in. now, as well as I know the movies, what quote are you referring to anyway? Great job, Betsy. Thank you for your contribution! It will look good in the montage.
"Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly-sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address. On the other hand, this not knowing has its charms."
Remember now? Yes, I'm sure you do..it's one of your faves, right? ;)
"Freshly sharpened pencils" always take me back to April 2, 2008 when my ten year old son had an encounter with a freshly sharpened pencil. He got it in the eye. A memorable day to say the least. He ended up with cataract surgery... I still love a freshly sharpened pencil, just not in my son's eye.
Oh I love it Betsy and what a cute name. I loved over at that coffee cake on your sidebar and the pic made my mouth water. Going on to see about making it. Oh what wonderful things out there in cyberspace. QMM
. . . and don't you just love the smell of scotch tape in the Fall? {or something like that}
When I still had my flower shop, I even kept a bouquet of beautiful orange roses on the counter. :)
I'm hopeless. It's only my favorite movie . . . EVER! I have two sons {and a daughter}, and even the guys can quote the entire movie. That knowledge may even have helped one win his bride.
It was sweet of you to stop by. Thank you ever so kindly!
